Passed on PVW15 and ORVW10 in about 8 stores yesterday.

Cheapest ORVW10 was $300. Cheapest PVW15 was $500.

I can count on putting 8 more stores on the list of places where I will never shop.

PVW is all over NY now- but unless you have a good relationship with the store owner, I wouldn't expect to find any at anywhere near MSRP.

Also, Old Forester 1870 for $50. I found several stores that still had CEHTBP and some HWMWND.

Which is why I hate the quote that even "billionaires can't get Pappy." Yes, they can, and I can direct them to cases upon cases of the stuff.

Yeah, I know that quote's a bit old, but I'd happily part with some PVW if one of those Billionaire's offered me enough $$$ (Damnit, does that make me a flipper?)

Passed on CEHTBP at $90. Been trying to find it at $70-$75. Is that too reasonable to ask for at Christmas?

Your passing on it at retail ($89.99), and I'd buy more at that price...if I could find it.

I passed on Willett XCF for $200+ out the door. As much as I love Willett and want to try this, that's too much for this one.

I think MSRP depends on your state's taxes. I've seen it for $69.99 and $74.99 in NJ, $74.99 and $79.99 in NY. I wouldn't pass it up if you like the stuff, like you said to the OP.

Passed up Elijah Craig Barrel Proof at $44.99.

I would have bought all they had at that price since I haven't seen any in 6 + months here.

+1 here. I've come to appreciate EC BP more the longer the bottle is open. Around here it's now $50+ a bottle

Agree with the others on the CEHTBP. I was obviously happier paying $70 for my bottles, but it is good enough IMO to warrant paying a premium. $90 is within that realm for me.

State monopoly, limited release item= 1 bottle per customer.

I didn't actually pass it up, because a good friend of mine likes the stuff- called up and asked, then ordered a bottle for him.

Passed on Willett Rye 8YO at $79, and something called "Cotton Hollow" at around $35.00 (which actually said it was both distilled and bottled in KY).

I picked up a couple bottles of Cotton Hollow from Specs when I was in TX last month. I'm not expecting much from it as its only 4 years old, but my wife liked the label because she has a thing for trees.

Not Bourbon but, the jack 2yr rye was restocked, the jack holiday arrived, and WR sonoma cutrer showed up. Tasted the WR. Passed on taste alone.

Left 3x Stagg Jr's on the shelf @ $48.99. Not that I didn't want them but I don't have the room currently.

Also PHC8 for a mere $200.

Passed on a Stagg Jr. today at $50. Really wanted to get it. First time I've seen it on the shelf in this area. But, I needed to reign in my bourbon spending as of late.
