Ironically I didn't drink most of yesterday for the AFL Grand Final.... Instead offering to be the designated driver for people so I could get a chance to drive the new car we took delivery of on Friday afternoon I did hook into a few mules after dinner though - Wild Turkey Honey, Ginger Beer and a squeeze of lime. So refreshing and a perfect substitute for desert!

Picked up a bottle of Knob Creek 100 proof today.

Finally found a bottle of Bulleit 10yo Bourbon.... been on the lookout for it for a while now but it hasn't shown up at any of my local stops. Looking forward to cracking it and comparing to the standard offering.

Im drinking some tonight with a big chunk of ice, being a warm night and all.

Heading off to Ho Chi Minh Cirty next week for a couple weeks, if anyone has any whiskey bar or store reccomendations they would be greatly appreciated.

I hope you like it more than I did. I got a bottle for 60-70ish AUD (can't remember) and can't get through the stuff. Every now an again I give it another shot and remember why I don't like it all over again and all the other Bourbons I'd rather have for the money. To be fair I'm not a big fan of regular Bulleit either, I just thought the 10yr would be a step up, but still not to my taste.

Today I had a Silver Select Jack Daniels, followed it up with a Silver Select Jack Daniels and had a nice Silver Select Jack Daniels to finish! I also grabbed a bottle or JD Single Barrel Barrel Proof that went on pre order at mybottleshop.com.au. I got an e-mail on my phone around 4pm saying they were back in stock, after I missed out last time due to umming and ahhing I was keen to get a bottle. 22 in stock, plenty of time I thought! Got home at 7:15pm, 10 in stock... omg better order! 10.30pm now and they're all sold out. Looking forward to tasting this stuff.

I've also been on a bit of a Four Roses SB kick this week. Only a few pours left.
