flahute
Picked up an NAS private select Bernheim Wheat this week. Sipping now, it really reaffirms to me that I like this younger iteration of this whiskey to its new 7 yr and PHC brothers. The "doughiness" that I've seen before and am getting from thus new bottle is just so pleasant to me , and unfortunately more age takes that away. The other iterations are well done, but there is just something to the original that I like more. The best analogy I can think of is that it's like the refrigerated Nestle Toll House Cookie dough in a tube that you get at the grocery. I tend to eat and enjoy more eating it raw and uncooked, than after it comes out of the oven...Well shoot if that isn't a flavor description that makes me stand up and take note. I used to love eating that stuff raw right out of the tube when I was in college. You just may make me go out and buy one of these. (And I have and really like the PHC 13yr version). Hmmm......As for what I actually have in hand (and glass), I started with some Weller 12 and continue to love this for what it is (while cursing all those damn magazine articles that make everyone go out and buy this because they can't find Pappy). Following up with some 4RSB because I'm in the cult and all ya know.
OutlawSW
Had some PHC8 then some ECBP. I felt they were equally good but very different.

Special Reserve
A little pour of WLW 125.3 this morning before coffee. WOW an explosion of taste in my mouth. I should do this more often. It's a good thing the bottle was just recently opened.

Saturday, January 31st, 2015, 8:33 am, 08 WLW before coffee. You da' man Will. I wish I'd have read this before I had cereal with my coffee this morning. I might have joined you with some 07 WLW with my coffee instead. After having the cereal, I somehow don't think the WLW would have been quite as enjoyable on my palate. LOLOLOL Cheers! jonhalter
A beautiful mid 60's day in FL. I decided to celebrate it with sb blend. I chose the 1:1 over my usual 2:1 12: owa. It was a good decision. Havent had this bottle in awhile, and it is on point for now. Edited January 31, 2015 by jonhalter : owa turned into some smiley thing

Hop
Finished a bottle of HH6BIB tonight and opened a bottle of WFE 7yr 122.3 proof barrel #500 that I picked up from P&M last year at Christmas. My first Willett but if course not their juice they just bottled it. Very much like HH juice to me. But very good.

Kyjd75
SAOS private barrel selection by the "Wood Guy" (with an assist by Doug Phillips), barrel #1, and it is beyond good. It may have been made in Indiana but it is REALLY good.
