As to OFS vs WR.... OFS hands down; for nose, palate, finish, AND price! (IMHO.)

And just what would that "signature" be there, Mr. BigRich? ;)

It's all in the squeezing!

EWBIB last night followed by Virgin 101 . . . both feisty. Think I'll open an OFSig soon for comparison.

4R OESQ a local store pick from a couple years back with justa couple drops of water. This is a technicolor bourbon 101, all the classic flavors and at barrel proof those flavors are just amped up and thoroughly delicious. Haven't visited this one in awhile as its the only Q I have and I was making it last but it is now part of the "finish the opens before starting a new batch" session that I am devoting 2015 to, a fine and fun house cleaning it is!!

Loving some 1792 RR. For under $25, this is a seriously delightful whiskey

First pour from a new bottle EWSB 2004 Store Select. A very tasty selection. Beautiful vanilla oakiness with a hint of cherry in the background. Is it the weekend yet?

Just poured a bit of OGD114 as I get ready to watch the second half of NBA finals game 1

SAOS 10yr. Trying to figure this one out and just don't know yet. Started out like Bubbilicious bubble gum on the nose and palate which was kind of fun but eventually faded away to what I can't describe. Still early in this bottle so there's plenty of time.

Following up with ECBP hazmat which is always a stellar pour.

Started out with a pour of SA VOS 14 yr while reading "Bourbon Empire". Followed up with The Bourbon Guys SA OS pick. Came here to SB.com to read. Checked up on Dave Z and had a pour of Kinsey Rye Whiskey. Hey, it's Thursday. It's practically the weekend. ;-)

I'm an SA OS fan, but I've always been conflicted about the 10 yr low rye. Most are like what you describe. But, I've had one batch that I couldn't put down. I have one more bottle saved from that batch and am afraid to open it for fear of it disappearing so fast like its brethren.

End of the week thank goodness. Sitting back and relaxing with a couple of pours of a dusty 86 proof AA. It's tasting mighty good this evening. Really hitting the spot.

Cheers! Joe

Started with a small pour of ETL before dinner as I was driving and am now back home and glassed the final pour from a bottle of OFBIB.

Revisiting CEHTSmB to start the evening. Quite tasty but for the money difference I still think I prefer plain old BT.

I was proud of myself last night: a single 1oz pour of BT before bed. Normally when I have a drink I don't pour a single oz or stop at one glass. :drinking:

Opened a store select ER10. Enjoying it on the back porch with a cigar.

An extended finishing up of the night with a couple of pours of Larceny. :D This whiskey just slams my sweet spot right on. Honestly, I don't care what HH does with any of their other wheater offerings, as long as they use their wheater production to keep this whiskey available as wonderful as it is.
