I actually much prefer the old label and really do not like the new label. I also really miss the orange screw top on my OGD BiB.

I also prefer the old label for OGD with the kitschy orange cap--happen to be admiring it at the moment while having a small sip as an aperitif. Of course, the association of having bought so much with that packaging and (in retrospect) bargain pricing helps a lot.

went to a Bourbon Fest tonight, had a bit of everything, no Buffalo Trace at this event tho, which was surprising. The Four Roses guy was absolutely amazing, walked us through each bottling, from the YL, SmB to the SB and Private selections. Also tried IW Harper 15, didn't really care for it, but also got to try Blade & Bow and actually liked that one a lot. might consider picking it up actually.

Opened a ER10SB from last night and was pretty disappointed. Dont remember it being that one dimensional. Will need to revisit.

I revisited both Blade and Bow selections myself. I like them too. The 22 year is not three times better than the younger bottle though.

Neighbor Dan came over. Poured him some WTRB, KCSB, and ECBP in that order (in Glencairns). He was surprised to find that the ECBP, though 20 points higher in proof, was a lot more drinkable than the Rare Breed. Said when I buy some more ECBP to get some for him too.

Funny you mentioned Stagg Jr #3 - I'm into a Refrigerator Perry-sized pour of exactly that bottling as I wonder if the Broncos will play better tonight than they did on Sunday. I'll adjust my choice and/or mood after the first quarter

ETA: Continuing with SJr (and likely once more after this) as it sinks in that Kubiak's new offense (and the underperforming front line) pretty much guarantee this is Manning's last year. Better enjoy those moments like the end of the second half while we can. And how better to do that than with good whiskey?

Having some 4R PS SB OBSV from Liquor Barn while watching the Broncos and Chiefs. Not a fan of either team, but hey, it's football and it's almost Friday. Plus this 4R is good.

Having some more Stagg Jr tonight. Very silky, creamy, and thick with some burn on the end, but very good. This batch taste a lot like its Papa.
