Enjoying some Weller 12y tonight. I haven't poured this in about a month and it's great tonight. What a good bourbon at a great value.

I smoked 500 pounds of beef shoulder clods last night for a festival today. Two buddies and I started our smokers at 6:00PM last night and pulled them off at 5:00AM. During our downtimes, we shared pours of Four Roses OBSK, Van Winkle Lot B, Elmer T Lee and GTS. It was a very enjoyable evening but I'm paying for it right now.

Starting with WRDO again. Getting bananas tonight for the first time. This bourbon continues to surprise me.

I have finally got around to opening ECBP 139.8 aka. Batch #8. The Nose, Flavor, and Finish are absolutely outstanding. I personally prefer mine neat. If your want to cut with water then thats fine, but do not blend with regular Elijah Craig 12. The ECBP releases have to be honey barrels. They are that good!

Starting things off with a pour of my WTKS:WTRB:RRSiB vatting I mixed earlier today. Nose and first sip were quite nice. Perfect to finally watch the new episode of the walking dead with. Thinking my 1:3 vatting of StaggJr:BT will probably be next after this then it's anybody's guess with so many opens to choose from since I didn't pull out 4 or 5 bottles from the cabinet shelf like I often do.

Opened one of the MM46CS bottles I bought a couple of weeks ago. Beautiful deep rich color to this, nose is understated no alcohol overload and a definite sweetness.

Thick mouthfeel, oak tannin influence, definitely back of the palette focus.

Plenty of spice as well

Last of a Maker's Mark Cask Strength bottle [first barreling]. Had a few sips, then made the remainder into an Old Fashioned.
