Ah yes, the IN Bourboncation trunk filling trip. Loved the posts and pics. Are you doing it again this year Foz?

Not sure.  I do have a week of vaca left to burn but can't really afford to splurge like that again.  Thankfully I can get Larceny up here now at least, though I wouldn't mind calling around down there to find where I can get a case of HH6BIB maybe.  I was a bit tempted to do it after a recent post by someone about Crown in Indi having all 10 4R recipes since I only have 2 so far.

Finished off a VOB6 tonight. May not be rushing out to buy a other. But not a bad value at $11.

A bottle of Rowan's Creek will be put back on the shelf empty. Wasn't bad, but wasn't great either.

This doesn't really count, but I thought I'd mention it anyway. ;) My wife and I went to our niece's house this past Sunday for a family cookout and pool party. Her husband had a bottle of Blanton's with one pour left in it. He doesn't drink hard liquor any more, so he insisted I finish the bottle. Needless to say, he didn't have to twist my arm. :)

Cheers! Joe

I finished off an ec 12 over the weekend. I liked the first pour, and bought 2 more, but then I tried it again, and I didn't care for the oakiness. I still find it oaky, but I focused on finishing the bottle after the doc gave me the ok to drink, and now I don't find it as overpowering. I've come to realize that water brings out more oak for me, so I've stopped adding any. Same for ice.

I do love the flavor (minus the oak), and wouldn't mind trying the nas, but I've got 2 or 3 ec12 stashed away, and would want to finish those first. I know, first world problems ;)

Finishing off a family size bottle of EC12.

Luckily got 6 more in the bunker. Stocked up once I heard 12 year age statement going bye bye.

Another one bites the dust. Cabinet looking pretty empty before the move.

brought three heels over to a friend's place tonight: Old Weller Antique, Yamazaki 12 year, and Faultline Blended Scotch—killed 'em all. Meant to take a photo but forgot.

happy Friday!

Last pour from a bottle of 1792 small batch but not to worry as it's fairly plentiful

A fine bottle but there are too many fine bottles of bourbon to mourn the end of this one too much.
