Yesterday I had a just released Sapient Trip Ale from Dark Horse Brewing.  A Belgian style trippel.  My favorite warm weather pour.

I tried some Licher Weizen from Lich Germany.  If you like the Bavarian style wheat beer (I do) this stuff is great.

I've been drinking a lot of Deschutes Pinedrops IPA lately, it's a new favorite. I've also been drinking Elysian Superfuzz Blood Orange Pale Ale. It's an old favorite that's only released in the Spring/Summer season and it was just released last week.

Great seats Joe! I just bought a couple Cubs tickets for my dad and I on Fathers day.  Back on topic, I picked up a 4 pack of Dragons Milk today, so, I am going to crack into those.

Good on you, G!  A day at the park with Pops is hard to beat.

A couple of Coronas while on Day 2 of cleaning the garage, and listening to the Braves go to 0-5 to start the season.  Oh my, it's going to be a long season down here....:(

I had a few beers with a beer snob friend of mine yesterday evening.  We decided we like Perrin's 98 Problems IPA better than Rogue's 8 Hop IPA.

Perrin's No Rules.  I was fortunate to find some bottles today two weeks after it released.

I had a New Holland Dragon's Milk Vanilla Chai tonight.  A little heavy on the chai but not bad.

Started the evening splitting a Pretty Things Baby aga stout. Really nicely done, still a bit sad that PT is no more. They did good stuff.

Picked up a 4 pack of Dark Horse Bourbon Barrel Aged Scotty Karate, I'm pondering how long I should wait before drinking.

Any thoughts?

BA scotch ale should age well - Founders Backwoods Bastard does well for at least a year. With a 4 pack, I'd drink one now and put at least 2 away. Pull one out around Christmas and go from there.

I e-mailed Dark Horse and they said one year.  I drank on last night.  It was very good after it stood (warmed up) for a while.  Like most good/great beer it shouldn't be drank too cold.

I'll age the others for a bit and I might age one for 1-2 years.  With the exception of IPA/DIPA (very hoppy beers) strong beers age very well usually better after aging than when fresh.
