I've found the 'new' Kirkland 7 year old to be a pretty good follow up or ending pour.  Unfortunately, the Flintstone vitamin force is just strong enough in this to keep it from being a good opener for my taste.  I had about an ounce of Old Bardstown BIB left in the bottle, so I just poured it and added about 2 ounces of the Kirkland.  Running at somewhere around 104-5 proof, this outta work out just fine.:)

Added some W12 to my SB  blend to bring it to about 50-50... was at 3:2 but I think I like it a little better at 1:1...

I agree with you. 50/50 is the way I mix 'em.

Really don't care much for the W12 on its own, sadly.

Enjoyed a few pours of HH 6yr OSB 90.  I prefer the 6yr BIB for the $2-3 more a bottle it runs, but I don't know that I've bought a better bottle of bourbon for $10 or less.

Punching my 4R Cult Card tonight with an 11yr 6mo OBSO @ 55.4% ABV - love high rye bourbons...

Attaboy.

I'd post what I was drinking but I'm on the rye side of the aisle at the moment.

Me too.  I started out with bourbon.  My choice, ER10, what else as I work the bottle down.  All bourbon makes Mikey a dull boy so I switched to rye.  I hit up RRSBR.  I have only had a few pours from this bottlee.  I know exactly when I bought it.  This time last year.  Following up with WTR101.

While watching the Blackhawks, finished off leftovers of a Bevmo Old Scout 10 year (100.2 proof) then some ECBP batch 5.

Did the same, but only to preserve some remaining W12 that was rapidly oxidizing in a 3/4 empty 1.75L. When those large bottles get low, the contents change fast.

Ha, Ha, Ha... Weller 12 in a 1.75... funny...

A couple fingers of FR1B for me. Grabbed this one at about $32 in Louisville. Shame cause I really enjoy it but it's $42-45 locally.

After a few days in the world of rye, I'm back to bourbon with some ORVW10. A love wheaters during the holidays so I'll keep it going with some RY10yr.

Getting too old for my volleyball league - shoulder is killing me. Fortunately, lifting a pour of Bookers followed by some Buffalo Trace seems to help.

Tonight was Wild Turkey night too.

That photo is the truth: WT 12yr is "Beyond Duplication".

I am envious, that's a great bourbon!
