Picked up a couple SAOS7's & a SAOS10. Last ones they had. The place I bought them from always has bottles that sit for a while. For example I bought a SAOS8 CS Rye & EHTBP(135.4) within the last 6 months from them. Not any more. They had 1 more case, but it was already sold waiting for pickup. There are several on here including myself that love SAOS Bourbon! Get it while it's still around!

To clarify the SAOS7 & SAOS10. There will still be private barrels available.

I get very few opportunities at rare bottles but stretched my own limits and bought a 2016 WLW for $300. I'm not proud, but I am happy to have it. In years past this store held pretty close to retail.  The assistant manager apologized to me at least 5 times but said the owner rejected a lottery idea, didn't like that if they priced it low, customers who didn't get a bottle would complain and if they priced it high they'd also complain. Tough to make everyone happy all of the time.

Snagged the last SAOS7 on the shelf....started talking with the store manager and low and behold he walks into the back and emerges with an ETL....happy holidays to me!! They are carfully packed in my luggage for the trip home today. Fingers crossed.

Charlie. I think your purchase is fine. You were looking for Weller 12 forever & now you have a William Larue Weller!!! If your happy then it really doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. Congrats on the purchase & I hope you enjoy it very much!!!

If you like Islay scotch, you will love that beer.  I had it at a barrel-aged beer tasting and I did not care for it at all, as I'm not a big peat fan.  Hopefully it strikes your fancy though.

2 x OGD 114 on Closeout at Binnys, Private Barrel of Eagle Rare.  On the beer front got a Barrel Aged Ten Fidy, and the Sierra Nevada Barrel Aged Barleywine.

I do love peat-monster scotch, so I think its gonna be good. Have one this weekend & cellar the other. I was wrong about the barrel tho - it was actually aged in Laphroiag barrels.

Bought a SAOS SB CS 10 year old (118.6) today.  Exact same barrel (#3309) as the last one,  bottled a few days earlier then the last one.  First one found in DE, 2 months later the 2nd one found in MD.

Only difference is the first one was bottled by Saralen (sp?) and the 2nd one bottled by Tori.  Going to open one this coming weekend.

Picked up another Belle Meade single barrel selection from Virginia ABC (Barrel 2051). This is a different barrel than the one I saw earlier this week (2053), which was very nice. I also got one of my favorite (that I can actually find in Virginia) budget bourbons, called Virgin Bourbon, a 7 yr age stated 101 proofer for only $13.
