What bourbon did you purchase today (winter 2016/17)?

I picked up a bottle of Blantons today for $58.99. I now have four of the eight corks. Still need the LNTO........darn that's over $200 I still need to drop for those corks.

I didn't realize they had there own distillery. Are they using their own juice yet?

So is this really tasting good to you? I had some of their standard product at a bar in Jackson Hole last summer and it didn't do much for me. I'd love to see them come through though since we can use more good quality wheaters.

There is definitely something different about it. I think it's an anise flavor but I'm back into it tonight and on my third pour. The finish is just so good!

Got a bottle in Dayton, OH yesterday for $55 plus tax. Need LAN but have several each of the others.

TW has had CEHTSMB lately for $34.99. I keep passing because I have 2 unopened bottles of it.

Bought a couple store pick OESQ store picks on sale as well as a few store pick liters of BT. Don't have them and won't for several weeks but that's ok

I had a liquor store owner tell me that the N with the dot is the hardest one to find but it was the very first one I got before I even knew there were collectible figures on the corks. So I have my doubt about the truth of that statement.

Yeah, I am not sure either. You can buy them at BT gift shop for like $3 each but I want to get mine by buying the bottles. I turned an extra O into a fish tank decoration haha.

Found a FC 1.75L with the 6yr age statement. It was lonely so it went home with me.

A buddy saw two bottles. By the time I drove to the other side of the city, I was able to buy the last one.
This is my first bottle with the new label.

But I also only have 20 bottles (bourbon and Rye). I have no bunker yet (save for a bottle of Eagle Rare).
I might start trying to stockpile some older EW Single Barrel when I find them. Right now all but two of mine are all open and I enjoy them all (except for the Eagle Rare, which is the only one I have two of, because one was a gift).

I love seeing your photos, Masset1982, especially of bottles like the WT 13 that are not available in the states.

Why "only" 18 bottles. They are no right amount of bottles, it's not a race, if it was, you'll always find someone who has a lot more than you. My problem is (i'm sure i'm not the only one on SB.com), i'm always seraching for bourbon, i cannot think about something else, this forum don't help. It became an obsession. I have to slow down, because my wallet can't take it anymore and i have enough bourbon for a long time. 

 

About WT products, i don't understand why they're not selling the 12 yo  and 13 yo in the US, it's not fair.

 

I don't know if you've already post a picture of your collection, i would love to see it.

ECBP new style bottle at $65 plus tax. I called and reserved a bottle and because of an after work commitment drove half an hour to pick it up at lunch. Dodged a bullet. They sold the bottle with my name on it to someone else. They gave me a bottle because I named the guys I spoke to on the phone. If I drove down after work, I'd have been the one without a chair when the music ended. They said they got a hundred calls for 6 bottles.

Suspended the buying hiatus yesterday when I found a 1792FP on the shelf, my BOTY 2016 so I grabbed that to backfill a recent empty and was so happy to find it that I celebrated with an OGD BiB also backfilling a recent empty. Twas a fine afternoon of shopping.

I found a couple more bottles today with the new label.  I had just gotten mine yesterday but my son went by and picked them up for some friends of ours and my nephew.

Stop by 2 different LS's running around So GA today while working. First time in either.  Good finds in both and the prices were too good to pass up. 2-SAOS 10yr, Stagg jr., and 2-OGD114's.
