They even have a full party plan!  I had many sips of Blanton's Sunday nite.  Now I have a reason (as if I needed one?) . . . . . .

This is probably only available in Indiana. The first versions came out a few years ago from Heartland. They had a regular and cask strength .  They under estimated demand and sold everything and it's been at least two years since I have seen them again. This one is twice barreled. It's 90 proof and not at all hot. No water needed.  You can taste the barrel. It is well balanced and for 26 dollars it's quite good.

I have seen this in a few stores in NY, at $26.99 maybe I'll grab it one of these days, cool bottle.

Had some Baker's last night. Contemplating giving up the hunt and 'retiring' on this. It ticks all my boxes.

It's one of my favorites too.  Hard to beat it.

I am in deep doo doo.  I have not seen even 5 minutes of GOT.  BUT, I am the designated sitter for a house refurbishing project (ancient windows are getting replaced), and I already planned to binge watch because my wife has no interest in the series.

I've seen even less of it.  From what I've heard, I'd probably drink a couple bottles every episode based on the game/list above!

It was a hot today, my first pour this afternoon was some SA Revelation Rum over ice. Now I'm having some HM 10y. When you come across a good barrel of this it's soooooo good, and I have a good one.

WT Russell Reserve, off the shelf,

for about $34 is hard to beat.  I'll be drinking more of this one.

I have been enjoying Bookers 2016-2. I love it, but I am intrigued by what I am hearing about Bakers. At the other end of the spectrum, I picked up a bottle of Weller Special Reseve. I usually don't go in for the wheaters, but Wellers is very good. Having it after a couple of days of sipping Bookers, you can barely tell it's alcoholic.

I did a thing, tried a blend of two of my favorite bourbons. 1 oz Stagg Jr, 1 oz Barterhouse. The result was lovely. Basically takes care of my (very minor) complaints with both, would love the Barterhouse at a higher proof, and would love the Stagg with some more age on it/complexity. I was worried the Stagg might overpower but it worked well.

It's a great under 30 bourbon in my opinion.

Who are you and what have you done with troyce?

I'm also a big fan of the Russell's. Both the 10yr and the Single Barrel.

Sounds interesting...I may have to give that a try!

Poured myself a nice glass of CEHT Small Batch while waiting on the rain delay for the Braves game to come to an end.

Having some VOB"6"BIB. Had my daughter give me a cabinet side left or right, shelf number, and bottle number. Left side, third shelf, bottle 5. VOB was the lucky winner.

A PS WTKS today. When I remembered my mother was coming over for dinner, had to make the pour extra large

Elijah Craig (NAS) Small Batch 1789 (New Bottle/Label) (94 Proof)

Finally getting to some of this newer shit I've been buying over the last year or so.:) This is very nice, very smooth, goes down very nicely, well balanced. Nice oak, vanilla, cinammon, not hot at all. Nice to know this is the newer stuff going out, hopefully. I would buy this again. I do have other variants.

And it is very enjoyable.:) Really surprised me, with some talks over all the different variants going around over the last few years. Definitely nice to know that this one is very tasty, and it is available around here.:)
