I think Campari wanted to get rid of the Austin Nicols reference and the new packaging appears cheaper.

Mission accomplished.

Nothing fancy.  I discovered a half-full (half-empty?) 750 of OGD BIB in the trash can next to my TV chair.  I better finish it before it spoils.

The same. Getting some cinnamon and red hot notes. In a good way though.

^^ That it is indeed.

Also further upthread, I agree that Wild Turkey should get back their roots with their packaging.  Classic. I don't like how they constantly change their labeling.  Do you see other iconic brands (e.g., JD, MM, Beam, etc) change theirs?

Decided to play ball with the cult tonight.  OBSQ for starters, with Elliott's Select warming up in the bullpen.

Bringing in a cult closer:  OESK 9yr 10mo PS from Liquor Barn that I picked up on my last trip to Kentucky.  It acquits itself well vs the Elliott's Select (same recipe at 14 yr)

After last night's debacle we're going to need refills.

After just watching the Dodgers take the second of three, I'm going to need another bottle to watch tomorrow's game.  Today, even switching to 4R OBSV "8 year" VA ABC pick @ 100 proof didn't help.  Back to OGD BIB for the rest of the night.  Note to self:  Are you grilling tonight?  Don't you take a tumbler with you when you step outside?  Aren't you starting early if you're going to play with fire?  YupYupYup.

Finally getting into my bottle of Knob Creek single barrel.

MY GOD IT'S GOOD!

I found 3T KCSB + 2 1/2t H2O= about perfect for me.

Knocks the socks off the ECBP I have....and EC12 used to be my fav.

The KCSB just has everything I want, nothing that I don't.

DARN GOOD JUICE!

Enjoying some Elmer T Lee tonight. Just about to dig into some smoked ribs. Think the two will go well together.

HEY!

I've got a pork shoulder in the smoker and some KCSB waiting.

Have a good Bourbon & BBQ my friend!

Thanks! Ribs were excellent and the bourbon matched nicely.

Enjoy yours. KCSB is a cracking pour.
