I was pretty proud of myself for building a shelf for my gun safe which effectively doubled it's bourbon storage capacity while still leaving a big enough hole for the longer items that reside in there to fit. The MacGyver moment was when I realized I would have to assemble the parts after putting them in the safe, since if I assembled it first I would not be able to fit it through the door.

Ryes:

The lighting in my basement makes it tough for me to get a good shot of my bourbon shelf on my phone. I'll either need to get some lights or use a real camera.

Things have sure changed over the years. Acquired some stuff along the way and am now slowly breaking it down. About 1/3 of this display is closed off and will be re purposed at some point. Since I am changing things a little I thought I would share what I once felt was something you had to just see in person and enjoy a pour or two.

Here's what is currently in my collection. Almost all bottles are open - I just can not resist tasting after buying a new bottle.

I am really into Bourbon since only about a year now and tried quite a bit in that period of tine. As with everybody else my stach is always changing and growing.

I have to say that some of these collections are very impressive. The ones I enjoyed the most are the stashes of rare bourbons that had empty or partially full bottles in them. I get caught up in storing bottles myself sometimes. We will never know when our last day will come. Enjoy it my friends! :toast:

That's excellent. Are those doors inner-filled with cross-wire? We want to do something similar (with locks for sure, too many teenagers in the house) but don't have much woodworking skill. Did you make yours or find in a store?

Did a bourbons-only pic. There is Tennessee, Rye and Scotch whiskey in my collection too.

I recently realized I was the reason I can't find it either!

Actually half of those are left over from my 2014 find of eight bottles in Wisconsin at a supermarket. Drank some, gave some away, found four more, including two in Bardstown last week.

I suppose I should feel lucky, RHF is in abundance here at $45.

Yeah, that's a nice price. I've never paid less than $50 here, usually $55 - $59.

Easier to find RHF than ETL around here, there are a few stores on I-40 E that seem to have it in stock every time I'm over that way.

I don't believe BT MAKES that many RHF bottles each year. You've cornered the market!
