Apreciate the compliments guys. It the result of a lot of off the shelf purchasing during the end of some golden years of readily available product.

Yes, really, off the shelf.....

Mind blown......

Nice B, it makes my head hurt when I think of all the great bourbon I left on the shelf thinking I would go back and get it later.

Not as insane as some of the past shots, but the classics are well represented.

It does take a while to drink through.

Some Hirsch 16 hidden behind the WTMK? I like how all of us are drawn to/commenting on everything besides the VW line. Let the masses continue convincing themselves that Pappy is the best whiskey ever....

Yes, there's a Hirsch in there.

And yes, there are many that blow away Pappy any day.

If only all of us had this kind of foresight. Back in the mid 2000s I was busy buying Teacher's Scotch and Canadian Club.

Some awesome bottles like that old Weller and Vintage 17 that I'll never end up drinking. Heck I don't see myself getting my hands on Pappy until 10 years from now and it'll likely be nothing like what you have in those bottles.

Enjoy!

Wow... What a collection.  I too wasted my time in the 2000's purchasing Rum. Once I discovered Bourbon it was too late.

This is precisely why I can't stop buying ecbp, owa, and saos sib when I see it. Scared they will all turn into unicorns down the road.

^^^Brad, IMO you really 'ramped up' the bunker porn level a notch, or four, with the Rathskeller.

Well done!

Im actually drinking it right now and I find that it's nice. Not extraordinary or complex but good for what it is in it's own way. Similar to the bourye in that its singular, straightforward and clean, some sweetness (honeyed/spice/caramel). At the bottle's beginning it was vanilla but nothing offensive and not as sweet. Now as it's opened it's vanilla has moved to the back/aftertaste but still, clean and straight. Which is why I also like the HW.

This is always a great thread to check out after being away for awhile.  Here are a couple photos going back 4 years when I was on assignment in Houston for work.  Lots of weekends checking out liquor stores in not so great areas did pay off.  Safe to say 80% of bottles in the photo were consumed long ago!  Very happy to have been lucky enough to drink some amazing juice at retail considering we are now in the age where people are posting photos daily of Weller Special Reserve and asking for "thoughts?".

That is a very impressive photo Irochau. What's even more impressive is that you enjoyed the majority of them. That's what I enjoy about SB. No bottle is safe in my house! And all those ER 101's. Bet they were goooood!

Cheers,

Jeff

Did some rearranging and inventory tonight since the rest of the family is stuck on the other side of the river due to flooding. This is my meagher collection. No BTAC or pappiez. I also noticed that OF and FR lines are under-represented. Only thing missing are 3 bottles of ETL that are stashed at work. Included a few bourbon barrel aged beers and a couple nottles of Scotch as well as my 1971 bottle of Seagram's 7.

Meager? Yeah right. LOL.  Liking what I see.  A bunch of Weller, CEHT, EC, Booker's, Blanton's FR, 1792, Sazerac. . .  Lot of my favorites on that table.

Ok, ok...maybe not meager. But when I see some of those other stashes I turn a light shade of green. Ha

I like the focused term. I can definitely tell when I find something I like.  The ECBP pile has grown a lot.

First post here. I've been lurking now for about four months, and figured I'd participate and put in my .02 towards the pot.

let me first say THANK YOU!!! to all of the fine people who share their opinions, knowledge and wisdom here. My wife and I have been on a whirlwind adventure over the past four months, and I am so grateful she has joined me and shares my new found passion for bourbon.

All of the bourbons pictured have been acquired over the past 4 months. All of the bourbons pictured will also be opened and shared with friends and family as it's such a huge part of the experience and enjoyment. I look forward to sharing my opinions and participation in this fine forum. Without getting too long winded, here is my collection at present.
