Added another shelf/bookcase last weekend and finally have it somewhat sorted out. This resides in my office hence the printer and file organizer you see on the shelves. Still a little work to go but at least I have all the bottles together now.

Ok, now I see why there's been a "bourbon shortage" in SC !  Never makes it farther south than North Carolina !!  Very impressive sir !!

That's insane. I think u have more invested in bourbon than I paid for my house. This will help me convince my wife I don't have a "probkem".

You're gonna need a bigger room. Impressive, how much money did you spend, I've never seen so much bottles in one place. Like other said, every time me my wife is gonna give me a hard time about my bottles, Im gonna show her this picture.

The collection is very nice and, because I am a complete klutz, would scare the bejesus out of me as does any shelf storage that doesn't have some sort of security railing to minimize the risk of a bottle getting knocked off.

 

Hope you don't have any cats or young children in the house!

 

To be honest the cats are probably less of a risk than children...  :D

Now that's a bunker. Why do I feel like I'm shopping in the nicest establishment when looking at this? There is definitely not an issue with shortage on supply. Hope you have good friends to enjoy this with!

They are screwed to the wall very thoroughly but I fully understand what you are talking about - children yes but 20 and 21 yrs old so the risk for loss is different if they ever decide bourbon isn't the devils juice

Thanks - I only office here one day a week all day and then when I get off the road each day which makes it just about perfect.  Now if I could just smoke my cigars in here it would be perfect but...

 

We are putting our house on the market in the next week or so (downsizing which is greatly needed) and my plan is to either build a garage with an extra bay sized for anoffice/man cave/bar/humidor/gun room or depending on what we wind up with to build a He-Shed in the backyard for my office/bar/humidor at least

Bill, glad to see the new bookcase worked out well in display mode. I see a lot of familiar faces on the shelf there and glad I could help. However, I do think it is time we started talking about updating your will and adding me to it. The wife does have my number if she needs help moving those to a safe location correct?:P

 

All kidding aside, that is an amazing collection you have built and an excellent way to display them. Congrats!

The shelves are from Joss & Main which is part of Wayfair.com  The name is Deidra or something like that - I looked at making them from black iron pipe but the cost to do that was more than these were delivered and brought inside the house - assembly is easy but a warning for anyone who were to purchase them  - they are too tall to be brought into a room through a standard doorway - I learned that the hard way...

 

Dimensions are 84"H x 84"L x 15"D

 

And thanks to everyone for all the comments @elmossle you are in the will and I appreciate the help procuring quite a bit of this.  I'm glad to say almost everything here was purchased directly off the shelf either in stores or at the distilleries with the exception of a couple of bottles that were gifted to me by friends/family
