PaulO
I came across Very Old Barton BIB "100 proof". Since they quit the "-6-" nonsense, I felt ok buying it. Here's another drinks real easy for 100 proof (not too complicated) bond. I do think the discontinued 6 year VOB had a bit more barrel flavor. This is still pretty decent @ $14.99.

flahute
Another rendezvous with the new barrel of RY10 I found. Fantastic. A final pour of a bottle of EC single barrel Bourbon Crusaders 10 yr from Deatsville. Absolutely fantastic. Finishing with some Murray Hill Club. This is great stuff. Can hardly tell there's light whiskey in this blend. Hats of to our own Nancy Fraley @WhiskeyBlender for this creation.

Notice the trend of getting away from barrel numbers and going to hints about the story behind the bottling? Gotta' get the bunker cleared a little to get back to the opened bottles, tho', yes? I'm getting a knee replacement on the 30th and I don't want my numbers to be off the charts when I get the blood work done on Saturday. Good luck with the knee work, and I was sorry to see (a couple posts later) you also had to endure tooth work -- all this while off bourbon. That's a triple whammy. Lately, I've been alternating (and some nights doubling up on) MM CS SP, SAOS 10 yr, SB blend, and good old OGD BIB. I wonder what tonight will bring . . .? EDIT - Saw that post about the Cult. I'm pretty sure I have a 4R SiB on a top shelf. If so, that will be on for tonight. And I will be in Houston in the middle of February on my way up to College Station to officiate at the SEC Swimming Championships at A&M. You free? I too, am among those that liked that PH, although we are in the minority I fear, my friend. I still have one or two bunkered. Haven't seen any 'in the wild' in a long time.
