Finished off a Crown Liquors pick of 1792 Single Barrel that a fellow SB member directed me towards.

Not sure I’ll buy these again. They were definitely enjoyable but I like the US 101 just fine and the HWRR was a bit pricey.

Agreed.  It was ok but I expected more for $60.  Never bought a second bottle.

Killed off this bottle while watching my preds hopefully get this win, and take the lead in the central division. It was good, but probably not something that will be replaced anytime soon.

PH11 SiB. This one was great from beginning to end. Probably the best Bourbon I have enjoyed from Heaven Hill. Thankfully, I have a backup.

Cheers

Yeah seriously I’d want to savor those last pours individually. Always figured people with infinity bottles where trying to get rid of the last parts of bottles they didn’t care for and where hoping they’d get something better out of it by blending.

Nice I won’t put anything “bad” in my solera

As in ANY bottle that would add balance to it is fair game. I love trying to make a bottle that is consistently better than many premiums.

A bottle of OGD 114 passed on this weekend.  I would be sad, except for the other two bottles in the bunker.

This was pretty decent. Bit pricey, would love more proof points, but all in all a pleasant dram

Holy crap.  Didn't you just buy that?

It couldn't be too bad. :P

MO hasn't even gotten theirs yet as far as I know.

Damn, you're right.  Must go to liquor store to purchase additional bottles.  Must go to liquor store to purchase additional bottles.  Must go to liquor store to purchase additional bottles.  Must go to liquor store to purchase additional bottles.  Must go to liquor store to purchase additional bottles.  There, I've convinced myself to go to liquor store to purchase additional bottles.

I knew you'd come around, C&B.     Hang in there.

These mental lapses can be disconcerting; but, usually are only a temporary blip on the horizon.

With so much Bourbon, and an unknown (possibly limited) future with which to work, one must do what one must do, right?

Get thee, with all necessary haste, to said retail outlet and; git 'er done, Son!

HWYKY and a family size EC went down. Count me in the crowd that says EC has gone significantly downhill since losing the age statement or my tastes have significantly changed over the years. Used to be a favorite but this bottle took forever to drink and just could never get into it.

I agree.  Its missing that heavy wood that I really liked about EC12.  As far as YKY, I bought 2 batches of Batch 8.  Drank one but did not care for it much. Had to mix it with extra Double Rye.  Way way too Vermouth heavy.  I still have a Batch 8 bottle left that I'm debating what to do with.

I enjoyed the the YKY but really just as a novelty. Nothing I’d want all the time but enjoyed the completely new experience. Had I had a bar pour first I’d have never spent the cash on a whole bottle. It was.....unique. Have an unopened MWND that I expect a similar experience with.

These all bit the dust over the weekend.  They were all pretty good.

FWIW, the Double oak and the 1910 are very similar products (from their descriptions).

While I enjoyed both, I have to admit the WRDO was a tad better than 1910.

Something tells me I won't be able to replace this one.

I agree...I don’t think you will be able to replace it either. I wish I could find my first one.
