I've been stretching this one out from the same LS.  119.8 proof.

Were you part of this pick also?

Yes I was! That was when we also picked this OBSV that I mentioned earlier. The OBSV was the unanimous pick for our first choice, the OBSQ was second but both were solid choices

Cracked open a Stagg Jr 129.7 proof batch #5.  Blending it with eagle rare SiB  PS tonight to quiet it down while this new bottle airs out and opens up.  ER blend idea:  courtesy of our friend Mr. Steve Flahute, shout-out to you ?

Lol. Thank you sir. As I started to read your post I thought to myself that , dang, I haven't had that in a while. It really is good so shame on me for not having it for some time.

I've been following the advice of TBT and have been mostly thinning the herd of weaker members. Now I'm going to go fetch a Stagg Jr. to go with the ER that I recently brought up.

So, thanks for the reminder!

It tastes great!  Really tames wild Junior down to a really enjoyable pour neat.  Thank you for the idea.  In the near future I'll also try it with OC8 as well.

It's been a long time since I've seen any OC8 but man did that blend work really well.

P.S.,  if I could share some of my OC8 with you, I gladly would!

Knob Creek Quarter Oak.
Definitively KC but I get more baking spices on the nose than typical KC. Nutmeg and Clove. Follows through to the finish. Good but not sure worth $20 more than standard KC.

Hmmm.   Pretty color.    Your description is about what I expected this one to be, though I've yet to see, let alone taste it.

I may have to pass on a 750 until I find  chance to have a small tasteroo, not wishing to over-spend if it ain't 'that much better/different than KC'.... or than several of the private pix of KCSB that I've had (and still have most of 'em... at least one or two).

It’s a long story. It started a long time ago when Vosgar and I kiddingly traded barbs. Douche bag was bantered back and forth between us quite a bit. We had a few laughs about who was who, which was which, etc.... so eventually Vosgar became “Bag”, and I became “El Doucé “.  Then along came my nephew, Galvin0791. In a pm conservation between the three of us one time, Gary used “ El Doucé “. Mike got a big laugh out of it.  It was at that moment  “Uncle Doucé” was born. :P

Not today, but over the past week or so I've opened a few 375's. It's not very often that I have one 375 open, let alone four. They're all good though. ?

They’re pretty decent. Another member here posted his thoughts and I totally agreed. In a nutshell, the MMCS is decent. The MM46CS is a nice step up. The MM46PS, is even better yet.

AFAIK, you don’t have to have a membership to purchase spirits at Costco. You might want to check it out.

Even though it is apparently against the law in Florida to have a private liquor store, that detail hasn't been relayed to the folks who work at the Costco I visited when I went to buy that set.

I have a few samples of the MMCS, the MM46CS & MMPS are what I'm eager to sample.

Thanks for the reply!

Said goodbye to friend SBS an hour ago. So, in keeping with Cult Card requirements, I opened a new friend an hour ago. It has been awhile since I visited an OESO.

Prost! Phil

Got a Louisville trip coming up the end of the month and realized I need to try a few unopened bottles from the last trip or two.  1st up is a bottle of Cooper's Craft 100 - might need to bring another back, def big improvement over the 86pf Cooper's Craft, and not much $$ more.

I see you learned from my FR Cult Card requirement debacle from last month :D

To top it off, I thought I had the same bottle as your's stashed away. Turns out, mine was barreled the same day, but bottled 7 months later. It's at 58.9%, from warehouse BN, barrel 31-2V. I wonder how many different batches of OESO Binny's got that year? Maybe we could each bring a sample to Bardstown next April and do a SBS? It'd be interesting to see if there's any noticeable difference between them.
