Some great looking purchases to start this fall season.

Made a purchase that I have been working on for awhile. The blue box is all for me, and the white one will mainly be used as gifts and occasional assistance for a select few that wants a bottle and cannot find it. Both boxes are store picks.

I have been getting pretty lucky with some finds lately, but this time it was a special purchase from a good friend.

Just got WTRB for $45, OGD114 for $25, and McKenna 10 for $42 (retail price here), and KC cask strength rye release 2 for $50.

Picked up an Old Overholt BiB Rye for the weekend.  I've not tried this one yet so I opted for it vs an OF 100 Rye.

Let us know your thoughts, it’s readily available here and a pretty cheap pour.

Wait wait wait... come on now.... aren’t we gonna have a few folks coming out to condemn such a purchase? You bought an entire case... got a “hook up” oh and gonna gift some??? Hahahaha

Radio, I applaud your purchase but had to say this because the thread I posted regard buying buy the case. Just seemed like my feet got held to the fire awful hard. Enjoy the delicious nectar!

I’m feeling like a gullible idiot.  Spent $300 on American “premium” whiskey and the only drink I enjoyed was free bottle of blended scotch.

I do not care if you believe me or not about the purpose of my getting the case of Blanton's, and if anyone wants to condemn my purchase that is their prerogative..   Just to be clear, it is not the first case of Blanton's I have purchased this year either, and the previous one was for the same reason.

Oh I don’t have an issue with it. Just throwing heat since some old folks here get their panties in a wad about it.

Don't get me wrong, the Old Overholt BIB Rye is good but to me the OF 100 Rye is one of the best ryes I've had recently.

A VERY special thanks to a fellow member for answering my post looking for an original WTMK 17yr. Now I can get my buddies together in October for a very special tasting. Been too long (thanks pandemic). Guys like him are why this community is so great and I can't wait for a gazebo social in Bardstown on the other side of this pandemic!

I'm not sure who you're calling old.  And I'm also not sure anyone actually got their panties in a wad, and you don't know either.  But what I do know is that you created an entirely new thread asking everyone's opinion on tater etiquette. Then you evidently didn't like their answers and now apparently you are upset.

lots of people buy large volumes in single purchase, and many people gift.  Back before the craze, I knew a west virginia banker that bought 2.5-3 cases of Pappy 20 each year to give as gifts to bigwigs in the state for Christmas, that's 30+ bottles each year.

I used to buy 12-21 bottles BTAC each year and gifted quite a few.

I used to buy a case of EC18 each month.

How about bars and restaurants.  Those must be the really bad guys. ?

Retirement and Medicare are looming on the horizon for me. Just what I needed to hear. Thanks Frank.   ?
