I've had the early sixties from that G&M Strathisla releases and even the joy of previously owning a bottle of the '64. No 50's though.

GaryT
After grilling some burgers, needed something to match the smoke. Opted for Laphroaig PX, which is doing just nicely
beasled
Sipping on a sample of Glengoyne 30 sent by a rather generous friend. Epic stuff. Too expensive for my tastes but it is rather good!
Kepler
I tested my Scotch palate out with Glenmo original. It was good so I poured some Balvenie 17yr doublewood.
MM818
Inspired by The Old Course. I guess I should be drinking something from the lowlands. But, this is doing just fine. I wanted to go this year but tickets were difficult. Hoping for Royal Liverpool next summer.
beasled
Arrisker? Taliran? Either way, a 70/30 blend of Arran 10 and Talisker 10 is proving to be an excellent blend. Even better on the rocks in the summer haze. Cheers!

It is a fantastic whiskey! But that KY Oak version could be interesting with those new toasted/lightly charred new oak barrels. Will have to look for that.

Shout-out to @fosmith for introducing me to this. I can't believe I've waited this long to get a bottle. The RB Kentucky Oak is a different animal but still quite nice. Of course the difference is the oak note as you might imagine, and intended by the producer. It's a well balanced pour and has quite a long oak finish for those of you who like that. Speaking for myself, I do ... as long as it's in balance, which this is. At the premium in price I can't say I recommend it compared to the 12CS, but for fans of Redbreast or Irish pot still whiskey, I say go for a bottle of the KO for the different experience if nothing else. Cibsie
Just picked this up today at a local store. It's always sold out at Costco so it cost me an extra $10, but well worth it. I very rarely drink scotch, but this is great.
mal00768
I had several healthy pours of Port Charlotte 10 year heavily peated last night. Those Bruichladdich folk really make great Islay whiskies. The bottle had been open for a while so it had lots of air time to really open up. Coconut, vanilla custard, lemon honey combined with smoked oysters and sun baked salty sand. A great, well balanced whisky.

smokinjoe
A very nice pour of Drumshanbo Irish while waiting for the coals on the grill to get ready. Got a taste at Local 3 at Father’s Day dinner, and immediately liked it. Found a bottle recently, and while trying it again, I find it much more assertive. Very nice, and makes it even more enjoyable.
mal00768
This is a strange one, if it didn’t say Speyside scotch on the label I would tell you that it’s EHT small batch bourbon. Maybe Costco got their labels mixed up. Or it was an extremely wet ex-bourbon cask. Or BT sources EHT from Scotland now. Googling hasn’t revealed many details.

Not sure that I understand the liquid situation, but the bridge depicted on the label certainly looks familiar.
