I’m pretty sure I have a bottle or two of the 16 year that’s not bad, but I’ve never seen the 18 year.

Years ago (10+) I participated in a Chivas Regal 18 Year deconstruction.  We tried several of the 18 year component whiskies by themselves (malt and grain) before finishing with CR 18.  The big takeaway for me was how amazing the 18 year Longmorn and 18 year Strathisla were.  I even mentioned to the rep that they should look at bottling some this.  I instantly fell in love with both distilleries.  For those that know Strathisla,....that ain't gonna happen.  It is a very small distillery with the majority of their production going to Chivas.  But I've tried quite a few Longmorns over the years.  This 18 is the closest I've found to that original sample of Chivas Regal 18 component whisky.  So good.

I picked this up a few weeks ago at Specs in Houston, just now getting around to opening it up. I shouldn’t have waited so long.

DAMN, THIS IS GREAT. So creamy and full of flavor. Just a great whiskey.

Huh, now that’s cool! Do you happen to live  in and/or near Scotland?

If England counts, then yes :D

I've ordered a few times from Robbies, great little shop. One day I shall go up and visit. They're in Ayr, which looks like an amazing place to visit.

My Dad's house lacks bourbon.  He prefers whiskey made by people who storm beaches with bagpipes.  He served a nice one yesterday.  It was shockingly cheap.  Less than $20 in Indiana.  Soooo worth it.

Always enjoy Millstone. Very pricy in the UK these days, which is a shame.

Springbank 10 at the bar. The Springbank 21 just hit $1,500 at the non-gouger shop here in NYC, so I doubt that I’ll ever see this again off-premise.

That scotch commercial at the US Open nudged me towards a pour of this. One of the few "non-Islay" whiskies that I really like.

My dad was visiting this week so we cracked one of the bottles from our Speyside trip earlier in the year.

15 years old, 46%, bourbon/sherry cask. A good mix of sweet and sour on the nose, same on the palate with some spicy ginger on the finish. Very nice.

Cheers!
