What's in the La Maison du Whiskey bag behind it?

My guess is the La Maison du Whiskey bag is empty since the Blanton's SFTB probably came in it is a 70cl bottle.  Maybe the box and a bag perchance, too???   😛

This picture is like an "I Spy" game.

I spy a bottle of Single Barrel Jack Daniels.

I spy a bottle of ECBP? hidden behind the Parkers.

A lot to see here and not just in plain sight.

Those 70cl bottles are criminal, especially when they're filled with expensive whiskey.

I went to pick up a burger for lunch, and made a couple stops, specifically I search for the Drumshanbo Irish.  Then, I see the McKenna, which led me past the ER, and around the corner on the way to check out there’s the JD Coy Hill.  Sneaky bastards leading me down the primrose path…🤣🤣

Yeah thats what the Blantons came in. There was a box but no bag. Said she was trying to get another when they were in Austria but didnt have the room. The kicker is .. she wont let me pay her for it🙃… and I have insisted. What an awesome family.

Cool. Although I hate 70cl bottles, La Maison du Whiskey and Velier have done wonderful things for whiskey and rum.

Coy Hill sitting on the shelf?  My God!  That's a miracle.  Was it at MSRP?

I know!  It’s really never on my mind to have my radar up for it for that reason.  Actually my eye caught the 10 year caught my eye first and I was zeroing in on it, when I saw the Coy Hill next to it.  I don’t know MSRP, but it was $97, or something in the $90s.

I think msrp was around $70 - $80.  A quick search of wine-searcher.com shows retailers charging from ~$700 to over $1000.  I've heard secondary pricing is around $800.  So you did well..

My recollection is that several of you have enjoyed RR SiB S.  Looking at one a TW in Scottsdale for $68, not sure if those who like it would like it at that price.

I do plan on getting 2 bottles of Smokewagon UU at $68/bottle.  I hear nothing but good things about it, even here amongst a pretty anti-NDP crowd.

Will report on the awesome Costcos here.  Just missed out on Bookers at $85 and Fable & Folly at $125.

Russell's SiB for $68 is pretty normal depending on where you live. I'd buy at that price.

Switched to Mac.  Not very competent with it just yet.  Take two:  Scottsdale TW.

What sometimes happens when one nicely asks "what's behind the counter" at TW.

ECBP $84 (ouch, inflation)

Larceny BP $50.

Costco in Scottsdale is awesome.  I will post prices for various bottles under Deals/What Anwalt Saw later on.  Drinking now.

Did pick up two Calumet Farms 14's at $90 each.

I picked up a couple bottles of the 14 year as well.

It's really, really good.   I've read that some folks seem to like the 14 year, better than the 15 & 16 year offerings.
