fishnbowljoe
Same old, same old. We were out and about today. Not looking for bourbon, but along the way we stopped at a few liquor stores I haven’t been to in a while. I got lucky. Two Blanton’s and a Weller SR all at msrp. What can I say? FWIW, one of the Blanton’s will be gifted. As an aside here, I’ve found more good bourbon over the last 6 or 8 months than I did in the prior three years or so. No Pappy or BTAC, but I ain’t complaining. “It’s all good!”

Thomm
Had to bite the bullet and get a dedicated freezer bottle. We got a new fridge, and the freezer portion is a pull-out drawer, so these are the only type of vessels that fit. And this was the only offering in this style bottle that I wouldn't have to pour out or soak carburetor needles in before repurposing. I say "bite the bullet" because I paid $15 for this little guy, and just to make it hurt that much more, I checked the handle price of the same thing. $26. Ouch.
aquavite
For my next "new" acquisition, I'm looking at either an ECBP (B524,... I'd think the C923s are all gone by now). That, or a 1792 BIB. Addtionally, I'll restock on Bulleit Bourbon and maybe a 2nd BT.

If you haven't tried 4 roses yet, give it a shot. BT is pretty decent, but I'm not very impressed by the BT lineup in general.
fishnbowljoe
Okay, so we were out and about again today. The only stop at a liquor store was at Binny’s. They just received a ps BT. Need I say more? Limit one, so I will taste test it to see if I need to go back for another.

The fridge is easy on the back, but a PITA, as far as freezer space goes. I have a 375 ml glass flask, and a plastic WT101 bottle for the freezer.

kcgumbohead
GD BiB 2024 or #5 or 2012 or.....too many damn ways to describe these ( I prefer the # system so, 5). I have seen these start to appear around ATL and today was the first sighting at my local. They still had some #4s on the shelf along with the new #5s and apparently had yet to update the system to the latest prices so, 39.99 is was,!! Anwalt
Got 3 Michters 10y B and 5 of the 10y rye for $173 each, taxes included. I think it's a bit under MSRP for what that's worth. Also got 2 toasted rye for $115 each. Kept 1 bourbon, 2 rye, and 1 toasted rye. Remainder went to friends at cost, they were happy. Puerto Rico is actually seeing some drops, this is still new & weird, but welcome. Last year's were all very good; I'm shocked at how much flavor Michers can pack into low proof.
markandrex
A gift from my neighbors for opening our pool to them while theirs was being repaired. They had the two older girls run it to the door on their way to the coast for two weeks. We are gathering mail and checking the house while they are gone. It was wrapped up so they were gone before I had it opened. I had told them about shooting for this edition but settled for the #59. This is just a whim, as it is the year I was born. I’m gonna have to talk to him when he gets back. He is either well connected or paid too much on secondary.

There’s a guy that shows up at our bourbon/beer/cigar gatherings occasionally. He’s been friends with @JerseyDon for years. He always brings some pretty good things to sample and share. I’ve tried to do likewise when I know he’s gonna be there. The last time he showed up he gave me and @JerseyDon each a bottle of Woodford Reserve Masters Collection Batch Proof. I’m waiting to hear from Don to see if he’s gonna show up tonight. I’m pretty sure I can find something decent to bring tonight. Past shares have been a tax stamped Old Fitz BIB, 07 WLW, and one of our SB HHSS bottlings.

fishnbowljoe
Add one more. It’s crazy how good things have been the last couple of months or so. Of course I ain’t complaining, even though my bourbon budget is pretty much shot. In the second pic, the empty and two other Blanton’s were all I had before my recent streak of good luck. Also, as I mentioned in another post, one of the Blanton’s will be gifted.

By the looks of it, your bourbon budget appears to be greater than the GDP than many small countries....

MyBrainOnWhiskey
I found some KC12 on the shelf at a local shop and grabbed 2 on my way to work. At $60 I always try to get a couple when I see them. After work on the way home I stopped at another store to see if anything new and exciting was on the shelf. Nothing new, but there was a lonely bottle of OGD114 that's been sitting for months so I decided to give it a good home ... inside my belly!
