I left Fishbowljoe and the LostPolito (Binny's Joe) with my CC number and many, many shelves worth of bourbon... I think I got a few BTAC... but you never know :D

So tell me Joe-Joes... what did I get :searching:

Some great BTAC's. Eagle, George , and good ole Mr. Weller. Joe even brought me a Laktke from Manny's. I have no complaints about work today. Now get to drinkin. Think I'm gonna buy AA preferred blend and go to town.

Binny's trip today. Met up with TomH and Barb there. I got to meet Lost Pollito. I picked up a bunch of stuff for Em. He bought me a bottle of Weller 12. (I think) I got a bottle of 2008 BTAC ER, and a Binny's bottling of FRSB #1 for myself. There's also a bottle of Willett 27 year old that looks really good on my shelf. :slappin: My buddy who went with me is happy too. He usually has a tough time finding the right Christmas present for his father in-law. His father in-law drinks Chivas. My friend (with a little help from his brother in-law) bought three different varieties/gift sets of Chivas for his father in-law, and is very happy knowing that he will be very pleased come Christmas. All in all a fantastic day!

PS Thanks for the hospitality Joe. Thank Bret again for us too

Bourbon for breakfast, now that's an idea! I don't know if American Honey is compatible with a diabetics life style. I think WT101 is.

well, i usually take a spoonful of raw honey in the morning and/or with my oatmeal....figured i'd alter it a bit!

anyways, after this 'breakfast' (see notes at http://www.straightbourbon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11175 !), i did 'chase' is with V8, orange juice and an egg/toasted salami sandwich:grin:

I was lukcy to find more BTAC offerings. So I picked up another round of:

Stagg

WLW

Handy

and I was at a restaurant and they had pours of Sazerac 18 yr old for $5, never having it before I couldn't resist. It was delightful, I was tempted to grab the only bottle of it I have seen, but I am already way over what I want to spend.

So I settled on a Saz jr, which was good.. but not as good.

Is the Saz 18 closer to the Saz jr or the Handy in profile?

I can't wait to try the Weller Centennial this weekend!

From what I hear, it is the ducks nuts. It is SW bourbon.

BTAC finally showed up here in VA. Picked up a case of Saz 18, 1 ER, and a case of Stagg. Tomorrow my wife will be picking up a case of each bottling from another store.

Hhhmmm, I could have swore I sent you premium olive oil! :slappin: Glad to see it got there very quickly and safely!

There is some speculation it may not be S-W. I was told it was but whatever the truth is, it is some damn fine bourbon! I've been known to go through a bottle in less than a month; therefore I don't keep one open any longer...

Bottom shelf today. Think I'm gonna try AA preferred blend. Don't think I'll like it as much as AAA, but I really like the bottle.

ORVW 10/107 went into a store to get some wine for Thursday and there was this lonely ORVW 10/107 on the shelf, now it has company in my bunker.

This stuff is addictive.

Picked up a bottle of WT101 today, this will be last one (or so I think) until I start the dusty and not available in Washington hunting/road trip on my way to San Antonio

Also picked up Bookers, again, as a gift.

I gotta start getting stuff for myself and stop getting so many darn gifts.

Poly, if you got the Lot B, you won't be disappointed.

it IS Lot B.....and it ISN'T disappointing!

very pleased with it. now to attempt to continue savoring it and not letting the mind's discriminating factors of appearance nose taste and finish get in the way of the unified whole.

SW centennial olive oil sounds intriguing! Wow, the old bourbon, only the privileged will ever know how it tastes... i am envious.

They finally got Rittenhouse BIB back in stock by me! There were 3 on the shelf when I got there to pick up some decent vodka and mixers for my cousin as a housewarming gift (bought them a mixing set, couldn't not get them something to mix in it...) and there they were. Needless to say the store is now out of Rittenhouse BIB despite their price increase. (They were $15.99 and I believe the last time I got them there, months ago, they were only $11.49 or $12.99 tops.). It's still probably cheaper than most, if not all, of my whiskey purchases in the past year and this stuff probably outshines half of them, at the very least! :woohoo:

This is an oops purchase. Back in the Spring, I ordered a case of each BTAC bottle to be split three ways. I asked my wife to pick up the order today and somewhere the order got translated to 3 cases each for 3 people....this is what my wife brought home.
