Weller 12 before dinner and JDSS with the dark vintage chocolate for dessert. WTRRR and Rittenhouse BIB later. I never have had RRR before and it was at least a couple of years since I had the Weller or the BIB. The Turkey was a disappointment and the BIB was better than I did remember.

2008 WLWeller

I finally cracked one. I'm enjoying having an BTAC open at all times.......

After I read this I noticed I don't have an open one of the BTAC.

So I went for the well bunkered WLarueW 2007.

Sipping one neat now, dry maple syrup.

A deep pour of Four Roses Mariage, while watching "Trading Places" on TV. A lot of great lines in this movie. Eddie Murphy, at his best. There's a great line, when the Duke's are trying to lure a destitute Valentine (Eddie Murphy) into their limo. Mortimer Duke says: "Whiskeeeeey! Alll you Want!

Oh crap! Senator Al Franken just appeared in the movie, as I was writing this. Whoda thunk it!

OGD114 from a pocket bottle in Stockholm yesterday and today I have had JDSS before outdoors grilling, VWFRR I with the coffee after and Rittenhouse BIB right now. All 4 more or less good but the van Winkle seem a little bit to old and the BIB a little bit to young.

Interesting. I'm a big fan of the Ritt BiB, and the VWFRR is a great whiskey imo, but I can see where you're coming from. I've never been a JD man, but I'm starting to get an urge to try the JDSS. Of course I have to find it first!

Anyway, enjoying some EWSB 1996 right now. Bears an uncanny resemblence to the Willet Pot Still I had last night, but more intense.

I spent the day replacing a broken garbage disposal and then working in the yard and hitting the spot right now is a coke and WT101.

Damn you with your East Coast time difference. I'm stuck at work having a virtual cocktail with you Greg! Love me some WT 101.

Sorry about that Don but when I'm at home, it don't matter what time it is....it's a short walk to the bar! I must admit, the current WT101 is pretty darn good.

Right now I just poured a 1980 OGD 114. Besides this being a great tasting whiskey, the color is fabulous.

I'm kinda smorgasboardin' it tonight:

a couple of BT, a WT101 and maybe a OGD114 next...

Slowly sipping some WLarueW 2007, neat.

Looking forward to a good weekend.

Gonna go to the Dexter's Farmers Market and then try a place we haven't been before, North Pointe Seafood And Steakhouse for lunch also in Dexter.

Sittin', munchin', and sippin'.

Sittin' in the garage listening to the Bravos and Marlins. Munchin' on some gouda (BTW, ya'll are right on the gouda/bourbon combo. Delish!) Sippin' on some Ancient Age Bottled in Bond. A simply, terrific bourbon.

All's Well in Joey World...

Mix that with some good bourbon, and I think you have a winner on your hands.

Joe, is that the current AA BIB? I picked up a bottle early this year for about $13 a 750 and thought it was pretty tasty.
