Some 1792 while (sigh) waiting for the cable guy to show up.

Just as long as it's not Larry you'll be fine.

I having some of the current WT Rare Breed, neat.

Thinking about opening up a 1994 WTRB tomorrow just because it's Saturday.

I'm in the office today, so it's looking like baby saz. My Weller 107 is almost out, and the Old Fitz is being used for a decanter experiment.

Tonight it's a BIB shootout!

The contenders:

• Old Grand Dad

• Old Fitzgerald

• Rittenhouse Rye (I'm a rye BIB virgin. Please, be gentle..... )

Nice pours James. I was enjoying some Weller 12 from Binny's earlier.

I haven't been able to find any of that in these parts. I look forward to my travels this month as I expect to make a few discoveries and purchases no doubt.

Last night I cracked the RVWFR Rye for my first taste. I was really blown away. First-off it tasted more like a bourbon than a rye. It had a very sweet entry with mellow spice on the finish. I kept thinking it reminded me most of a younger Pappy 20 with a bit of rye in the mix. If I see it I would buy again. At $35 it was an absolute steal. At $55 I might pause....I'd pay $45 in a second though. When I get to the bottom of the bottle and have no more to enjoy I might change my tune and fork over the premium price.

Tonight I'm starting with some ER17 2008. I want to say this almost has more rye in it than the RVWFR does. Not complaining mind you, I love that expression the way it is. It has such a rich buttery taste and deep dark tones.... must be a 19 year old (that's what I've heard on this board).

Just added some WLW 2008 to the mix. Sweet burn.

Started with a big pour of ERSB and then finally cracked my first bottle of EC12...liking them both so far...going to finish off the night with a Pappy 15. :)

Did the cable guy ever show?

I'm drinking old Fitz 1849 8 yr and NAS.

Yeah he did... he burned some incense and sacrificed a small mammal and declared the problem solved. I offered him a drink (shame on me for tempting him) but he declined. Same thing will likely happen again in a month or two... rinse and repeat. (sigh)

Finished the night with a FRSmB and I hate to say it but I'm a much bigger fan of the ERSB and the EC12...I don't know what it was but I had bitter bourbon face drinking it...:(

WTAS before dinner yesterday. (A lot of) Dickel 12 with the lime truffles for desert and in to the hot summer night that we have here at the moment.

OGD114 before dinner and WT12 export after. It was the last out of the Turkey bottle and as it was from the version out of the two I like best with the split label, I probably can’t get any more as it seem sold out completely.

Last night I opened a bottle of Evan Williams Black Label - the first time I've done so in three years, and I was pleasantly suprised.

I've been working on a couple of my last stitzel weller bottles. A Pappy 15 year and a 10 year old rip van winkle squat bottle from Lawrenceburg. The Pappy only has 3 or 4 pours left, but the 10 year will last a little longer.

Just had a nice pour of EC12. It was as good as my last bottle.

EC12 is on of my favorite everyday type bourbons...It was our fifth anniversary on Friday but we celebrated yesterday...had my first pour of 1792 and liked it...always good to find that you like bourbon that you have bunkered! :)

My wife and I sat on the deck at the local bar overlooking the Licking River. Some good live music, a double cheeseburger, and a couple pours of WT101.

I love summer!

Yesterday Josh AKA Josh came over to pick up some bottles I got for him in KY and we enjoyed,...

Parker's Heritage 2007 122.6

almost empty but I have a line on another.

Four Roses Mariage

so,so unique, it'll be a sad day when this is gone.

Four Roses 2009 Barrel Strength

with over a half dozen flavors and aromas it's bound to become another classic.

Van Winkle Lot B

in my all time top 5 but I have about 10 in my top 5.

W L Weller 2007 BTAC

this the best of the best.

Elijah Craig 12yo

this is the best bottle of EC12yo I have ever had, remind's me a little of Parker's.

Wild Turkey Rare Breed 1994 and a current bottle

of course the '94 was better.

Just got back from a 3 day/90 hole golf weekend in Pennsylvania. Good friends, beautiful weather, great golf, and some WTKS '98 and FRSB rounded it all out.

Worked my arse off in the yard today. A scorcher outside, too. Kickin' back in the garage, listening to BoSox and Yanks on the radio, with a healthy pour of McScrooge's single barrel bottling of Weller Antique. Wow! I'm finding it hard to think of another candidate in my inventory that has tasted this good. :yum: I'm sure they're there, but I can't think of them, now.
