nor02lei
Weller 12 before dinner and JDSS with the dark vintage chocolate for dessert. WTRRR and Rittenhouse BIB later. I never have had RRR before and it was at least a couple of years since I had the Weller or the BIB. The Turkey was a disappointment and the BIB was better than I did remember.Leif

smokinjoe
A deep pour of Four Roses Mariage, while watching "Trading Places" on TV. A lot of great lines in this movie. Eddie Murphy, at his best. There's a great line, when the Duke's are trying to lure a destitute Valentine (Eddie Murphy) into their limo. Mortimer Duke says: "Whiskeeeeey! Alll you Want!Oh crap! Senator Al Franken just appeared in the movie, as I was writing this. Whoda thunk it!

nor02lei
OGD114 from a pocket bottle in Stockholm yesterday and today I have had JDSS before outdoors grilling, VWFRR I with the coffee after and Rittenhouse BIB right now. All 4 more or less good but the van Winkle seem a little bit to old and the BIB a little bit to young.Leif

I'm a big fan of the Ritt BiB, and the VWFRR is a great whiskey imo, but I can see where you're coming from. I've never been a JD man, but I'm starting to get an urge to try the JDSS. Of course I have to find it first!Anyway, enjoying some EWSB 1996 right now. Bears an uncanny resemblence to the Willet Pot Still I had last night, but more intense. Love me some WT 101.Sorry about that Don but when I'm at home, it don't matter what time it is....it's a short walk to the bar! I must admit, the current WT101 is pretty darn good.Right now I just poured a 1980 OGD 114. Besides this being a great tasting whiskey, the color is fabulous.
