Continuing at Jake's with some WT 12 split, PHC Golden, ORVW 15/107, Old Fitz BIB 1948/1954, and VOF 1958/1966! A very good start to the night...we'll see what else his bunker has to offer...

At sgtgto's place enjoying pours of WLW 2006 & 2008...how did BT bottle magic like that 2006 bottling?

I had some JPS 18 and Buffalo Trace last night.

Thanks for the tasting notes on the JPS 18. I'm slowly coming around to maybe pulling the trigger on this.

I know they should be around in the store for awhile, so no major hurry.......

FRSmBLE2010. Wonderfully high-toned in flavor profile. One of the rare 4R cask releases that I don't add water to.

I had JDSS and monogram before dinner yesterday and the first edition of PS uncut Bowman rye after yesterday. They all tasted splendid.

I'm enjoying some Weller Centennial to celebrate the birth of my second grandchild today, Evan Philip, 8lb. 9oz, 21-1/2"

Cracked open the EWSB2001 and very happy I did. Picking up on some cinnamon on the nose to a banana and cream palate ending with a lightly dry and warm finish. A really good bottle so far, will have to do another tasting on a night when I haven't been drinking beer and watching football all day long.

This is the only reason that I keep honey bourbon around...and it's perfect for this use!

I definately agree. I tried Red Stag the night after, and it did nothing for my cold :skep:

Had a quick taste of two new bottlings:

FRSmB 2011 LE:

Everything you'd want and expect from FR... rich, complex, multi-layered. A treat to savor and enjoyed. Another WINNER!

2011 PHC:

Not so sure about this one. Different in all aspects... nose, entry, and finish. Not bad but definitely different. Not decided whether I like this one or not.
