A group of us are heading to Vegas in April. I have an extra VW 15, VW 12, and a GTS 2011 and I cant decide which one we will enjoy while we are there.

I got engaged tonight. We've known we were getting married for awhile, but tonight was the official bended knee giving of the ring. In the midst of the celebrating, I purchased two Single Oaks, #8 & # 167. One rye, one wheat, both fantastic. I have a feeling that the whiskey will be flowing freely this weekend.

Last night was excellent. My brother-in-law and I started with some Willet, moved to BMH 16, then we had to finish a Woodford, followed by some RedBreast 12, back to the BMH, a few pours of HW Double Rye! with some Padrons, then polished off a Lot B. :icon_pidu: I told him I will bring a Handy and WLW next time!

Enjoying a small pour of EC12. I've been on a wheater binge for a several weeks and almost forgot how much I like this one....

EC12 was one of the first bourbons I bought last year after rekindling my bourbon interest. Inexpensive, readily available and tasty.

First, a heartfelt Thank You to all of the "congratulations".

Second, while homebrewing with two friends today, we polished off a an ORVW 10/107. This bottle had a serious cinnamon thing going on for most of the bottle, but the last few pours today were over the top with brown sugar and a richness in the mouthfeel that I haven't experienced with the 10 yr before. Extremely enjoyable, I certainly hope its replacement finishes as strong as this bottle did.

Started with my girlfriend's blind pour which I correctly guessed as Blanton's. Now I've moved onto some DSP-414 Old Forester 86. I do need to get more of this delicious juice.

Had several pours of Blanton's tonight to follow up some very well made moonshine. It was poker night at the neighbors'. My wife won, despite playing perhaps the worst hour of cards in poker history.

Winding down a busy weekend with some FRSB 120th Anniversary. At 116 proof, this bottle has a delicate nature without any real 'in your face qualities. Sublime.

Missed this from Friday. Congratulations! Hope the whiskey flows freely this week, and for years to come (for the right reasons).

Weller 12 tonight. 3 pours from a half gallon from about '02. Sweet, chewy, oaky, just a great balanced bourbon, no matter who distilled it. I decanted the rest of the half gallon into another 750 to keep the air exposure to a minimum as I think it's really hit it's sweet spot. It even has white flakes!

Little Handy to start and a equal pour of some FR OESV. Really liking the fruitiness in the FR.

Wonderful finish to a good weekend.

Had a couple of pours left in a bottle of MM. After letting it sit there for a while, it seemed time to clear it out to make room for another... well... for a new fuller bottle. I may add, subtract and shuffle bourbons around, but there will always be a bottle of MM in the mix. Yes, it is simple... but that is what I like about it. Simple and dependable. Though I gotta admit, I keep thinking and wondering what a 10 year 107 proof expression of this would be like.

I had a couple Maker's at the bar and now I'm enjoying a nice pour of ER101!
