mosugoji64
Celebrated the halfway point in the semester (and the beginning of Spring Break) with WLW '11, ORVW 10/107, Vintage 17, and old label OWA. This has been a DELICIOUS day! And I totally deserved it: Aced a med/surg exam today as well as my clinical performance evaluation. As long as it keeps paying off in pours like these, I'll happily put in the work!
clingman71
Weller 12 is really hitting the spot tonight. Rich with a good balance of wood, sweetness, & spice. It had been awhile since I've had straight W12, a nice change of pace from the blend.
Bourbon Boiler
Just a finger of VOB before bed tonight.
smokinjoe
A tall pour of a McScrooge's Private Barrel Selection of 2001 EWSB at poker tonight. I won some money, so the whiskey was fabulous. . Really though, all of the McScrooge's barrel selections are terrific. But, when I win they're even better!!

Kyjd75
First pours of Bulleit Frontier and Weller 12. Had no idea what to expect from the Bulleit, but it was surprisingly very good, as was the Weller.
dridge11
Had my first taste of the release of PVW15, I really liked it. Makes me wish they bottled the whole lineup at 107 proof. I think that's my sweet spot. Also had a little GTS11, neat, like a boss. I actually added a little gasoline and a ghost chili just so it had more bite. Tucker
Trying the Weller 12/OWA vatting fresh out the the bottles. Very tasty, but I'm looking forward to tasting some with a little air time.

JayMonster
After seeing several discussion on it (both pro and con), and since I had an opportunity today, I had a really nice pour from a heavy handed bartender of Booker's.Now settling down with my first Buffalo Trace in a while. Tucker
Moving on to a little 2009 GTS and hoping that smokinjoe and BigRich are hunkered down somewhere safe while the tornadoes move through their area.
smokinjoe
Thanks for thinkin' about us Doug. Luckily, it seems to have blown on by us. Here, I'm in full Gillmanizin' mode. I'm throwin' things on the wall and seein' what sticks! The 4R Barrel Strengths seem to be bringing things together nicely, though. 'specially, Old Ezra 7yr + a floral VOB BIB + McScrooge's OESQ 112 proof 4R + a dash of Maker's to soften the concoction. Beautious..:yum:

jtexaslonestar
JPS17 tonight. Gonna get colder here tonight, so need a little warming up! May try a PVW 15 afterwards.
AaronWF
I'm having some CEHT 1B, the second release stuff. It's not very good. It tastes like a younger and less polished ER17. It handles the 100pf fairly well, but there really is nothing to bring me back to this guy. $45/$75, and that's being nice.I grew to really like the first release Sour Mash, so this is disconcerting. I have a bottle of the Tornado that I'd rather not open until this one is gone. Might be awhile...
p_elliott
Friday night I had a pour of EC 20 that someone was kind enough to send me a sample of ( Thank you very much!!). Most everyone know I don't like EC 12 but this EC20 was fantastic it had a finish that went on forever. I have to look it back up what this sells for at the distillery I know it is expensive, I maybe tempted.

I have to look it back up what this sells for at the distillery I know it is expensive, I maybe tempted. I think they're $150. Apparently, the first barrel was amazing (and won best American whiskey of the year in Whisky Advocate) and the follow up barrels have been not quite as stellar. Do you know which barrel you drank from? Oh, and last night I had a few glasses of Bonded OF DSP-414. I'm blown away by it every time I go back to the bottle. p_elliott
· Hidden Hidden I have a sample of each but I don't know which one is which. They say when they were barreled and which barrel they came from but not which bottling Link to comment
drunk
Had a friend over for an informal tasting Saturday night. My palate was in fine form, so I had to indulge. It was the first time I have been blown away by the Weller 12. The bottle has been open for over a month, and I was just getting some amazing smoke and wood out of it.Weller 12SB Weller blendFR1BHenry McKennaPappy 15GTS '

SMOWK
It was the first time I have been blown away by the Weller 12.Of all the blind tastings I've done, Weller 12 has gotten the second highest score out of me. I believe it was a 98. For me, it is safe to say that Weller 12 can one up LotB.
