If it's the single barrel it the the second release. Distributors are notorious for holding things back liquor stores get BTAC and Pappy 6 months after their release.

You know I suspected as much. Across three different stores i found that they were selling the 2010 release of WLW as part of their 2011 BTAC line up. I tried to ask BT what the issue was, and never got a response.

Based on what you said, it's the fault of the distributor. So, there is a possibility that the Tornado Surviving version could show up in Texas at a later date?

It is in Texas for sure. I know someone in Austin who has seen it.

The single Barrel was released in Sept of of 2011 the distributor should not be putting it out now just as as the new release March 12 is coming out but not everyone is ethical.

You could look look on the bright side there are people still looking for the single barrel that couldn't find it and you did.

You're right. I think my desire to taste what everyone was talking about (reference to 'Tornado Surviving') got in the way. :)

No bourbon today, but I did add a few more bottles of WT 101 Rye. I've found these marked lower than the Ohio Liquor website lists them for, closeout pricing maybe? I also picked up a bottle of Goose Island Lolita.

Hadn't planned on picking up more JBB, but ran across a 7 year 90 proof edition... I was unfamiliar with and intrigued by, so I grabbed it.

Stopped at a store near me and picked up a bottle of EH Taylor Tornado Surviving bourbon. I'll give this one a try tonight.

Are you in Cincinnati/NKY area for very long? There is a new Whiskey bar downtown that I have wanted to try. Maybe a happy hour drink or two? There are a couple of local SB'ers we might be able to round up. I would invite to house to crack open some of the bunker, but the kids have had crazy bugs the last couple of days.

I just picked up 2 bottles of Van Winkle Lot B 12yr and 1 bottle of 10/107. Left 2 bottles of 10/90 and 1 bottle of 10/107 on the shelf. I'm still waiting to get my hands on some of that 20 and 23 year old.

Wow, that an incredible gift. Don't see any pappy here in CT, only ER 10 and sometimes the TH.

Looks great! I assume you meant Columbus, OH. In which case, I know none of that was purchased in Ohio. :hot:

How long are you in Columbus for?

Bootlegger. :)

Nice selections. I see you got the CnB OWA for others. Keep one for yourself. They made a fantastic selection this year. Much better than the TPS SB, IMHO.

Columbus, OH indeed and you are correct...not a single OH bottle in the lot. But at least you have a great selection just over the border! I'll be here for about 4 more hours. After a morning meeting I'm headed to Cleveland.
