Day 1 of our trip to Keeneland. Went a little wild, but you only live once.

8 EH Taylor Tornados - No worries they're not all for just me. Groomsmen gifts.

1 McScrooge Weller 107 - it was on sale

1 Larceny - couldn't resist a try for 12 dollars

1 4R 2012 SmB

1 Cork and Barrel Selection ETL

Tomorrow, off to Buffalo Trace and 4R distillery. By the end of this trip, I may not buy bourbon again till 2014.

Larceny has reached Georgia. Picked up a 750 and passed on the handle for now. $10 off (750) and $20 off (1.75) coupons on all.

What are your thoughts, Doug? I haven't picked up a bottle yet.

Eagle Rare 17yr 2012

Ancient Ancient Age 10yr

VW Lot B (2 of these popped up out of nowhere at a store that previously didn't have them)

WT Rye 101

Mellow Corn (DSP-KY-31, bottled in 1997)

Bowling Green is pretty disappointing when it comes to limited release bourbons. I thought for sure I would be able to snag a WLW 2012, but distribution here continues to suck.

Stumbled upon a Baby Saz, unheard of for the part of SD I was in so I had to grab it.

Picked up a bottle of EC18. The first bottle I tried was terrible, but figured that it may have been a bad bottle. It was really musty and bitter. Hope this one is better.

My brother in Bowling Green got me a GTS at Chuck's Liquor Store on Tuesday. He said there was only one left after he purchased one for me.

There's still some in KY, but it's around 70 bucks. Found this in southern Indiana and had to grab some at that price.

There was a stash of PVW20 and Lot B that popped up out of nowhere today. Bought one of each.

Not sure if it is the start of the Fall allocation or just a cache that the distributor found.

You had some Lot B pop up randomly, too, eh? What was your bottle code? Mine was B1201312:06K. By some quick research it looks like mine was an early 2012 bottling for the Spring allocation. Although, I suppose it could have been bottled early this year and held for the Fall release.

Bottle code is K2951113:06

Which puts it at October 22nd 2011 at 1:06 PM. Are you sure you got that code right? Using Sku's bottling code guide, your bottle was filled...in the future.

Went to a couple former honey holes in Indiana, looking for the '12 PHC and FR LE'S. Totally struck out, 200 miles round trip to boot. It sucks being in Ohio. TPS is my friend.

I did however purchase :

Weller antique and 12, for a SB blend

WTR 101

Mellow Corn, which I'm drinking right now for the 1st time. A decent pour for $10

That's what I thought in the beginning, too. If you'll look towards the bottom of SKU's page over bottle codes, he added an update in March of 2012 for the new bottle code scheme. This is the info I used.

Ended up my KY weekend just grabbing 2 bottles of the 4R Gift Shop bottling. No more 17 yr stuff. Now it's a 14 yr OBSK. Interested to give that one a go, my 9 yr one from TPS has been a good pour brought down to 100 proof.
