I burned my tongue Friday night on some bacon, and that had a strongly adverse effect on my ability to enjoy bourbon last night. Fortunately, some very cold Stroh's really hit the spot. :)

Having a Squatters Full Suspension pale ale. One of my favorite things on tap in Utah. It's morning, but I'm at the airport so that's ok, right?

Another first world problem right there.

Arcadia Hop Mouth along with a Turkey grinder for the drive home.

I tried but I caved in, I couldn't make it home today without something.

I couldn't hold off any longer and opened a bottle of Sierra Nevada's Barrel Aged Bigfoot. Bigfoot is a yearly favorite of mine and my expectations were high. This bottle fully met and exceeded everything that I expected it to be. This was a one time celebration of Bigfoot's 30th year and they did it right. If there is such a thing as a whiskey drinkers beer, this is the one. I highly recommend it to all. Grab one before they are all gone.

And yet more Founders Centennial IPA. Wonderful beer, but then I shouldn't be surprised. It's Founders, after all!

2013 Sierra Nevada Bigfoot. Enjoying one now and putting the rest back for a bit. Only gonna get better (and it's pretty great right now)!

Bigfoot ages well. I have some in the cellar and pull one up every now and then.

Most high alcohol beers age well unless they are super hop intensive.

Had Mikkeller Black last night. Not the first time I've had it, but still... just... WOW.

And a 2012 Bigfoot tonight. Yum.

Have you tried the barrel aged version yet? Best beer of the last 12 months for me and there was some fierce competition going on.

No I missed out on it around here, sadly. Way to not make me feel bad about it though! :P

I bet it's not too late to find one. I haven't personally checked, but did you look at the mail order shops? I might be able to help you out soon otherwise.

I've only checked the big stores here, so yeah someone, somewhere may still have it. Mail order is a no go in KY, however.

Having a Mons Abbey Dubbel with the wife. A tasty after dinner drink.

I'm going to have to hunt down some of that barrel aged Bigfoot. I love the 2012 and 2013 regular releases.

I think I am in trouble. A new beer bar opened within walking distance to the house today. 50 taps and 500 bottles. Tonight I had Oskar Blues Chubna which was a cask conditioned Gubna/Old Chub blend. Just lovely. There were lots of free tastes. The standout was some Abt 12 topped with rasberry lambic. I would never have done that myself but it was good. A little sweet but good.
