$39.99, so yours should be $34.99

 Based on your experiences in your neck of the woods, buy everything you can/want in one fell swoop. History says if you buy one at $39.99, the second one will be $54.99 two weeks later. Get the drop on 'em!

Really surprised that y'all haven't seen it yet because my two dealers get all of their bottles from Atl. distributors.

I found one bottle for $54 here in SE MI - more than other states, but it still came home with me.

I even called around ATL and nobody even seemed to be expecting it.

What we need is a change in the laws to make all state regs the same and eliminate the distributors. Let the mfgs sell and ship direct to all locations. Product would be less expensive and we all would get some of everything. Amen.

Getting a bit off track but I think that might ultimately hurt us as consumers. Big chain style liquor stores could monopolize the available product and then sell for what ever price they wanted by virtue of having the monopoly. Small stores and small markets could potentially be left with nothing.

Back on track I also checked a few places around town and did not find much indication that the stores were even aware that another batch of ECBP was coming. Presuming that it is in fact coming!

I made 4 calls today, and no one had a bead on batch 4 (but one of the 4 held a batch 3 for me, $44). My favorite whiskey monger Paul is checking into this (ok - he's really Joe's whiskey monger that I'm trying to see on the side )

There's one place in Minnesota that I know still has a few bottles tucked away but would sell upon request.

I just found one more randomly today. I was waiting for a rental car and walked into the worst ABC in the area, and lo and behold there's one on the shelf. Can't say I'm upset.

Given that you found something good on the shelf, you may have to define "worst."

Went down to the Masters for the practice round on Wednesday. Picked up a bottle near Atlanta. Excited to try it.

Ha, I stand by it. Maybe I'll miss some other stuff there but I really doubt it. Either way nice to pad my first real bunkered bottle.

My apologies to my Atl SB friends. Just got out my bottles and they are not batch 4. They are batch 3, 133.2 proof.

No apology necessary - that drove me to make some calls, and stumble upon another batch 3 myself :) Any batch of ECBP is a great batch IMHO

Anyone had a chance to do a SBS tasting between batchs 1, 2 or 3 and recently released batch #4? Batch 4 is certainly lighter in color than batch #1. Hopefully flavor is not sacrificed although looking at that super dark liquid of #1 is part of the allure.

Found some 4th batch in Michigan. I bought two and left one for someone else. My booze monger said his rep told him next month this should start being regularly available. He said he was told he could get a case if he wanted. Take that for what it's worth. Maybe they're going to ramp up now that they know they've got a hit on their hands?

Pretty sure I know where you got it from, was headed there myself later today...

Well. Regular Elijah Craig is suddenly up to the mid $30s in many places in MD, following Chuck's note several weeks ago that it is up to $33 in Chicago. That seems pretty drastic for something that was around $25 just a few months ago. Trying to decide whether to buy a few before it hits everywhere or just write off Heaven Hill. I'm seeing similar hikes for Evan Williams Single Barrel to around $32 in several places in MD. It takes a pretty special sort of effort to make Manhattan prices seem reasonable.

I'm wondering what this means for the barrel proof, and whether I should care, since I never find it, just people who bought 4 to 6 bottles at a time.
