I just revisited my B&E for notes on another thread :frown: , so needed to follow it right up with something good.

My 1:1 blend of OGDBIB and 4RYL with a touch of 10yo RR to add some wood char is hitting the spot.

Late afternoon lunch.

Pretty much had the joint to myself.

Small pours of PHC 12, Larceny, Saz 18yr, and a bottle of Scrimshaw pilsner.

Life is good in Louisville.

B, the Scrimshaw is a great pour, isn't it? Best "light" beer around.

Currently have Four Roses Small Batch and Maker's in the house. I don't keep much of a stash. Buy some (2-3 bottles) drink it until it's gone then buy some more.

It was the first unreasonably hot day in Louisville for the year and I'm grilling on the back patio. Usually, I would have a glass of Old Forester Signature on the rocks because for some reason, I like that one cut. Completely forgot to swing by the store for a bottle so I've taken a different route, holed up in the basement den while dinner smokes with some ETL one of the local stores picked. Nice and cool down here.

Willett 8 year old wheated. Wish I could find more of this. Found it at a random liquor store in southern Indiana last year. Ran into an 8, 9 and 10 year last weekend but passed on them.

The Indiana distributor seems to get a lot of different Willett FE. I remember the first time I went to Feast BBQ in New Albany I was impressed with their selections. Do you know who carries them in IN? I know a few folks on the sunny side that are in the liquor business.

WTKS. Good, but not great. Haven't really examined it, but there is something in the finish that puts me off a bit. Back to the Rare Breed.

finished the night with JPS21, AAA, ECBP and PVW15.

I'm not sure I'll ever have a more fun day of tasting than what I just had.

RR10/101 while watching hockey last night. Sadly, only one pour left in this fine bottle, then off to the pewter-topped Kentucky Spirit I found a few years back.

While watching the Hawks game I enjoyed pours of Bowman 18 GS@107, Binny's Willett 8yr wheated, and WTAS.
