Last night we opened some red white and blue wax makers from 2002 in the spirit of the week. Wow Makers used to be a lot better. Makers of 2002 really allows the wheat to shine through with butterscotch nodes all over. Side by side with the current offering I found MM to astringent, aggressive and very white doggish. Dusty hunt makers bottles now?

Went to a party yesterday. The only whiskey options were Jack Daniels and Crown Royal. I'm not a fan of either, but went with the JD.

So far, I am a total failure at bunkering but this is one powerful incentive to stock up on the good stuff while it is still good. It's a lot easier to hunt dusties if they are already in your own house.

one of my favorites. bought every one they had when they were clearing their stock to discontinue it, at $18 a bottle.

No idea where to put this but I found a bar last night selling Charbay II for $20 a glass (retail is $300+ a bottle). I love this stuff. Wish it were cheaper, but at least I know where I'm going to hunt for a pour of release III when that comes out!
