smknjoe
Picked up my first Booker's for $45. It's 7 years 10 months old. I've been turned off by the Beam Small Batch line for years after having some Knob Creek I didn't like. Although, I do like Baker's. We'll see how this is... NWBourbonDrinker
I have seen some in my bunker ;-) There's Saz18, VWFRR, and Rittenhouse 21 still either available or about to hit the shelves in the near future if you're looking for these older ryes. We should bring some bottles together and have a tasting!
mbroo5880i
That is going to be on the list but he specifically showed me a picture of a Willett he tried and liked. I could not see the age in the age statement though. I have personally had a 4 and liked but did not love it.If it is something different than the typical bourbon and you know he likes it then it would be an appropriate gift. You didn't see the age statement. Do recall anything else about the bottle?
theglobalguy
Ok, successful today....got ECBP (GS bottling) as a gift, OFBB and W12 (posted earlier) and just snagged ECBP (137 proof). If i had a mic, i'd drop it and walk off stage.

Paddy
Weller 12 for 24.99 (couldn't pass that up) and OGD 114. The '12 is flying off the shelves this week as the shelf was empty and I had to beg the staff to pull some out of the attic for me!!!
Conquistador
I'm currently on an "end of summer" vacation to Klamath Falls, OR. Flew in to Medford, OR, and drove the rental car to Klamath Falls via Ashland/Talent for the scenic drive. The forests, mountains, rivers and lakes sure are beautiful. But I have to admit that taking the scenic route gave me an excuse to hit a couple of the state-run liquor stores in Oregon. I've heard a lot of grumbling about Oregon's state-controlled liquor prices being out of control (isn't that an oxymoron?), so I just wanted some first-hand intel. Well, I realize that this is just a small sample size, but I'm happy with my haul and the prices paid. ECBP 134.2 proof (x3) for $39.95 each, and OFBB 2012 (x4, although the 4th bottle is hidden behind the ECBPs in the photo) for $36 each. An early birthday present for me! I guess the OFBB 2013 hasn't hit Oregon yet. Edited August 31, 2013 by Conquistador
Old Dusty
Willett FE 8 yr 122.6 proof. Barrel #1321. Broke my rule and bought it without any advanced tasting. Longshot, but anyone have any experience w this one? One of 175 bottles. No "Selected By/For" tag.Edit: maybe a "Willett Roulette" thread would be good to compare notes and info? suntour
Conquistador,I guess you've answered my question about whether not the "available stock" feature of the OLCC website actually works w/r/t some of those southern stores. Good work. From what I've heard, we aren't getting OFBB 13, we are getting OFBB 12 at OFBB 13 prices, so if you paid last year's retail (less than $40) you did REAL good.
