well I would assume that BT sells to all of their customers at the same price so the difference @ retail we are seeing has to be either greedy distributors or retailers.

My bottles were underpriced. $60 each. I thought retail was $70. All three bottles plus tax plus shipping together came to $206, about $69 per bottle out the door!

MSRP for BTAC has been $69 for the last couple of years. I don't see why it wouldn't still be this year. FYI - MSRP for PVW 15 is $80 this year. I, personally, have never seen those prices except on THH.

Around here not bad is a complement.

'not bad' is a compliment from me regarding bourbons, as, i know i am in the minority here, most bourbons/whiskeys i quickly decide i dont like. but it is kinda fun trying new stuff every time.

while i say it was 'not bad', if i had it to do over again, id have spent the $1 extra and gotten my favorite....bookers. but, i was curious and it looked like a small quantity release that i might not get the opportunity for later. Bookers is always on the shelf

Travel finds are nice, but it's also nice to come home.

Thankfully, I got to come home to a Handy, WLW and a FR 125th waiting for me to pick up.

Also dropped off some sample items to my store guys to try.

Be good to them, they will be good to you.

That's the highest proof 4R I think I've seen, by a decent margin at that.

I shouldn't try to do math in my head! 123.2 proof not 133.2, sorry.

Is this a thing now?

Only time I've used it! I can stop if you like, but I like the word and consider it the highest of compliments.

This is the price list i got from one of my sources that does a lottery. Hopefully I am lucky enough to get my name drawn...

We have 3 bottles each of Van Winkle:

10 year 107 proof@ $35.99

12 year @ $48.99

15 year @ $69.99

20 year @ $114.99

2 bottles each of:

23 year Pappy 95.6 proof @ $219.99 each

1 bottle @ $64.99:

Van Winkle 13 yr. Rye 95.6 proof

I found all my BTAC this year for 67-69.... Last year I got the PVW20 from this same source for $112.. The prices have went up just a hair.

Well you sir, have an honest retailer that needs your money. ;)

They need to draw my name or my wife's name first! Lol

WFE 9yr from a Spring Release.

is spring when they typically release this stuff? or is it just whenever they feel like it?

Used to be whenever they feel like it. Now between the equipment breakdown and a supposed lack of barrels available it's been very sparse. Liquor World in Bardstown had an 11yr during KBF but that's been the only summer/fall bottling I'd seen outside their gift shop.

While I know a lot of you don't like dealing with liquor control states...I managed to purchase the entire BTAC collection this morning from a state that released its inventory this morning..,PM me and I'd be happy to tell you where ( i don't want to mention here to SB'ers get a crack at the bottles vs random google searchers ). Thanks

I was lucky enough to find Stagg Jr. In Iowa, we rarely get the good stuff here so a grabbed a few bottles. Great Bourbon and a great price! Now if I could find the Sr. I would be a happy man. Anyone had both? How do they compare?

Just traded a 2013 WLW for a four roses 125th LE small batch...I have an extra WLW in the bunker so I am very excited about this swap.

Picked up a couple ORVW10s and a Lot B last night. I miss the squat bottle but the new bottle style is growing on me--I know, superfluous comment...

Matt,

I'm interested to hear comparisons. I strongly prefer the Lot B. But there are several that completely disagree with me. Either way it is a fun comparison.

This sounds like roughly an equivalent to the Weller 12 vs OWA argument? I prefer Lot B by a good bit generally over Weller 12, but when it comes to comparing the Wellers I find them both great, but different, pours.

I'm little behind in posting Stagg Jr drinking he last glass right now. before that Weller reserve 90 proof, and ECBP.

Wife got me an entire barrel of BT as an early birthday gift. Only problem is that it's empty. It'll be used as a table for cigars/whiskey.

Bought 2 more FRYL's today (on sale, couldn't pass them up). It may be low man on the totem pole as far as FR go, but it's a long way from being a bottom shelf bourbon IMO
