What Bourbon did you pass up today? Fall '13

Oddly the store had Saz 18 @$119.99 from 11/12 but had baby Saz @ $159.99

Places just dying to stick it someone. I saw a store that had some Four Roses Small Batch (standard) @ $119. It's really sort of amusing.

THH @ $90...I guess I bought "in" so often in the $45-65 range that the trigger & finger are now permanently broken on this one. The clerk said I "missed" the Stagg. They got 3 & one guy bought them all at $100 each. My cold reply was "oh, I'll be losing sleep over that one tonite"...lol.

On a more ridiculous note, I passed up a Ritt BIB tagged $50. I gotta believe though, at some point in time, an adrenaline-pumped idiot will get a fever for rye - any rye - and pay it...lol.

I have been passing on PHCs recently for $89-$120 and have been passing on EC21 for $130-$150.

Crap. I just about sprayed my Ritt all over the living room. Although, I think Ritt BiB at $50 is a better deal than CEHT rye for $129.99. Neither are deals, but if those were the last choices and I had to have one I'm bringing the Ritt home :-)

Stopped by a place that has always had a slot on the shelf for ER17, but I've never seen a bottle. Four bottles today, including a 2010 and 2011. Huh? Go figure. Unfortunately, $190. Thanks, but no thanks.

I did see a bottle of Saz way high up on top of the shelves, unreachable except by ladder - not where they have the ones priced for sale, but where they seemingly keep extra stock. Wanted to take a look, but they were busy with the lunch rush (this is a bar/restaurant that also sells wines and spirits). May have to go back, but given the ER17 price, I'm not optimistic.

I'm sitting on nearly two dozen 4R Private Selections and this is not one of my favorites...so don't fret...your epic haul today should keep you quite content. :grin:

Stopped by another place on the way home from work to see if they had any Pappy. He offered up an Old Rip10 for either $90 or $100 and I just could not do it, not going to pay those kind of mark ups. He did have a FRSB gift set with two glasses from last year so I picked one of those up.

Passed on a bottle of Stagg Jr. for $160. That was an easy one. Passed on a bottle of Four Roses Small Batch 125th for $130. Fairly significant mark up still, but it's not like I can find it anywhere else. Non-bourbon, passed on a bottle of Nikka Coffey Grain.
