WAINWRIGHT
Alesmith's Evil Red Dead Ale and a rather nice play on the style, not bold or crass in any such way just a well integrated and enjoyable beer I could pound down a few of these.Yes,I know they're Bombers. MyOldKyDram
Arcadia Cocoa Loco. This ones been sitting for about a year, and I don't think time has been kind to this gal. It's not offensive or anything, but the flavor is just falling flat. The milk chocolate notes are all but gone, and I'm left w simply a pretty standard milk stout. Bummer. Gillman
Pilsner Urquell in the can. We get this in Toronto within 2 months of packaging , sometimes just 6 weeks, and it is superb. Beats most craft beers frankly. Shucks, it's the original craft beer or one of them anyway. Sweet honeyed malt but zesty flowery hops to balance. A classic.Gary

Gillman
Gives a run for the money to Wells Young Courage Imperial Russian Stout - currently on U.S. shelves and a revival of a beer last regularly brewed in the 1990's whose lineage stretches back to the 1700's. This beer is the grandaddy of all U.S. Imperial Stouts - every one.The Tenfidy is not so shabby, but seek out the Wells Young Impy if you can.Gary

FlounderinDC
We have had a few breweries pop up in OK over the last several years, and I think one of the best is Coop Ale Works out of OKC. I've had a couple of their Native Ambers while watching the Thunder. This stuff is tasty.

stevegoz
In honor of International Stout Day, popped a 2013 KBS and a 2012 BCBS. Such a nice contrast between the smoothness of the former and the depth of the latter. Both are faves, and I'm very happy to have several cases of BCBS cellared. Then I had a 2011 Central Waters BBS and was reminded that it's more of a pretender than a contender. If you haven't touched a BA beer for a few weeks, the CW beer seems great. But next to the big boys it just pales....

smokinjoe
I have leaves to rake, boxes to put up in the attic, pond pump to clean out, garage to organize for Winter, trash to take out, flower bed to prep for bulbs to be planted, doggie door to install, furnace filters to change, ivy to cut back, and fortyeleven other things on the Honey-do list today. But, seeing that Mrssmokinjoe is out of the house having lunch with her girlfriends, I ain't doin' a dang thing 'cept sit out soaking up some brilliant Fall Sun while relishing this creamy good Backwoods Bastard. :yum: Oh hun, I'm sorry I didn't get all those things done, but your Mother phoned, and I thought it would be nice to talk and catch up with her... Yeah, I'll get busted eventually. But, that's what I have the bourbon for...
