I am trying to kill a few bottles that have been open too long, so I went with Noahs Mill, Jefferson 18, and finished with a 2010 Old Forrester Birthday.

Last night kicked off with some Louisville OC10, then moved on to HMcK BIB, and ended on the dark side with Cragganmore distiller's edition. Girlfriend enjoyed Barterhouse.

A little Makers to take the morning chill after some walleye fishing. Fishing was slow, but the chill is leaving after a snort and a nice fire.

Drank half a bottle of BT and half of a FR yellow last weekend at my friend's bachelor party. Gave my liver the week off until last night when I cracked that BT open again. Tasted a little watered down... it was being passed around on the party bus.... gross. Might have to let the last inch or so of that bottle go. Backwash Trace.

Few ounces of OBSK before moving to to ECBP (batch 3, not that there's a bad one!)

Technically from yesterday but couldn't find time to post:

EC18. Good... but a bit too polite. I prefer both regular and barrel proof 12.

FR Sb LE 2012 and 2013 head-to-head. 2013 won for pure richness, but 2012 was more unique.

PHC 27. A top 3 whiskey for me, ever. Wish I had one at home.

good looking! when was the ec18 bottled? just had two different bottling dates so far (1980s and 2010 iirc) and they were like day and night. one was rated inferior to ec12 in a blind tasting even...

ec12 old fashioned followed by an improved gin cocktail for me tonight.

GBS ETL on a couple of cubes. Gettin' hot and humid down here in GA, so this bourbon on ice really hits the spot. :yum:

Having tasted from this barrel pick, I imagine it's good in any form. You guys chose well.

Sounds great! Hot and humid in Indy too! Adding a little ice to the bourbon this week too! Tonight, it is a couple finger nail size cubes in John J. Bowman SB.

Another vote for some ice when the weather warms up. Tonight, mine is Blantons over ice.

Pairing Larceny with butterscotch ice cream. Perfect complement IMO.

Bourbon with ice or ice cream. No quibbles here.

Mini pours of EC12, FRSB, and EWBiB to start the night... Oddly, EW was the most pleasing.

Nice call, JPB. On some nights, any of HH's BIBs can be Best in Show when compared with any whiskey. They just have that "juicy something nice" to them.

Finally a slight cool down here, sitting out by the fire pit. Col. E. H. Taylor Barrel proof, Blanton's and then finished off with barrel select OBSV Four Roses Single Barrel.

Just so happens I snagged a pic of the back label in case I needed to do further detective work... didn't see a bottle date though.

WT101, and Larceny. Both are very good in their own ways. If only the Larceny were a bit higher proof...

I, for one, like current WT101....but, Ive never had dusty WT101, either. maybe I should leave well enough alone
