Let's see if I can remember. I had ER17 2013, followed up with FR 125, and couple of pours of 2006 WTKS

Just got back from a work trip to Salt Lake City. Can't say I was a huge fan of their store selection, but I can't complain about the pour pricing!

Hitting the CEHT Barrel Proof again. Pondering using the last few ounces in a mingle, just not sure of what (maybe 1792; raise the proof a bit?)

Some CEHT BP with ND Bourbon de Luxe (50:50). Maybe because it is Friday night, but this mingle is just amazing to me right now. The creamy butterscotch from the ND seems to be accentuated rather than lost, with a rich mouthfeel and a finish that lingers quite satisfyingly. Dumping the rest of my CEHT BP into a mingling bottle with equal parts BDL. Damn tasty pour! Wish I had figured this one out earlier!

Are those 1/4 ounce pours?! :-)

Not quite! But only 2 oz or something, per state law.

Starting off with another SAOS 7yr. Really digging this bottle.

Bounced around with a number of small nips, but the standouts tonight have been 4R 125th and Stagg Jr. The 125th really is a masterpiece. IMO, the best of the LE SmB 4R, so far. And, the Stagg Jr just continues to impress.

I don't have any ND BDL, but I do have some OGD in BIB and 86 flavors, will have to try this. I love the CEHT BP already, but sometimes it can be a little hot and I find it gets too bitter with just water added. The ND caramel/butterscotch should be nice. Cool blend, thanks for sharing.

Nothing but winners! SB blend with a W 12 from '07 and OWA from the acclaimed first nas release in '11. Then some Dickel 9 from a private barrel pick. Finished with different 4R picks and recipes. Eric of P & M's OBSK pick continues to impress.

Super-intense hockey game tonight with the Rangers and the Kings. I arrived home halfway through the 2nd period, had Larceny through the end of regulation, and then FRYL during the two overtimes.

Rooting for the underdog Rangers was fun, and they came close to another win, but the LA Kings would not be denied, winning the Stanley Cup.

I'm definitely feeling what seems to have become an annual swing for me, from enjoying more ryed bourbons in winter to preferring wheaters in summer. None of the heavier rye bourbons in my cabinet bar felt appealing, so I think I'll shuffle them down to storage and go wheater shopping...

Enjoying a OWA after a Willett pot still reserve (this barrell was "meh", but I bought it from my store and enjoyed the purchase experience. Might shoot for another barrel somewhere else). Followed it with a Russel's Reserve SMB SB, the haha version - but I prefer it to rare breed old proof, which I tried and didn't do it for me.

Last night I tried an age-stated OWA from 2006. I am unhappy to report that it was silly better than the OWA in my glass right now. Because I only have one more bottle left of it in the bunker.

diet drinks, and low proof bourbons.....something you learn to enjoy. then, you have a day where you feel like getting out the 'good stuff', such as a full-on sugar rush of an actual coke/pepsi, or a barrel proof bourbon........and then you dont enjoy the diet drink or low proof bourbon anymore, for a while. I'd been enjoying my HH 6/90 and Larceny for a while now, then I got into the booker's bottle again, and by comparison, the others just seem waterey. Im back on my proof-kick! It goes in cycles though. anyone else do this?

Finally bought a handle of EW 1783 today, but not impressed by the first two pours. I know it's folly to judge so soon, but that's my initial feeling.

Bourbon Gods bless HH for giving us EWB for such a great price, but two of the supposed step-ups have been a real let down for me (believe it or not, haven't tried the SB yet).

FWIW, I get a more nutty vibe out of 1783… guess I was expecting more of a refined version of corn sweetness, with the slightly minty rye spice that EWB has... But so far, it's like a completely different profile.

Some bind sbs action, bumping mingles of Old Ezra 101 yr and DSP-414 OF86 against WT101 & the same OF86. Actually preferred the OE7yr mingle a bit. Moving to some GTS because I can :yum:

Finishing National Bourbon Day off with some slope-shoulder OCPR. Life is pretty damned good!

Everyone seems to be bringing out the good stuff for National Bourbon Day. I decided to "celebrate" by starting out with some Parker's PoH which is quickly becoming a favorite. I will follow up with some GTS, which is THE favorite.
