EHT SmB. The bottle is about 2/3rds full, but I haven't touched it for a couple months after having a few pours over a week. The nose has developed into deeper, candied vanillas. Much improved. The palate is about what I remember. Decent, but a little hot and spicy for my tastes.

Rare Breed and standard 4RSB have been the daily pours this week. Both of these bottles are superb.

Nice pour last night of my Stagg Jr./BT Single Barrel blend. It started out as 50/50 a couple of months ago, but has morphed by now to unknown exact proportions.

Still really good. Cuts away any hint that the Stagg Jr. is too hot, and the bourbons work very well together.

Blanton's Gold, 103 proof, bought in January while in St. Croix, USVI. The first bottle of Blanton's that I have ever purchased. Very soft and smooth, absolutely no burn, very nice indeed. Next is to try the barrel proof bottle I bought along with it.

Had a 60/40 blend of EW1783 and EWBIB the other night. Not too shabby...

But it was either unmemorable, or just too smooth... cause it went down fast and I can't remember much about it.

Like Squire says, I'll have to investigate further... In the name of science.

WT101, then some Ezra Brooks 90, some FR barrel select, then back to the 101. It's not the most complex pour out there, but it's a pretty enjoyable bourbon

that it is, you can always count on the consistency and niceness of WT101, and its usually the best thing easily found at most restaurants.

Finished off my bottle of Blanton's. In consolidation mode to make room for new bottles.

Been up in Ontario fishing for the following couple of days and have a couple more to go. Been passing the nights with Makers for the most part, but stepped it up a notch last night and cracked open a BTEC lost barrel 1991.

That stuff is as good as it gets and makes for a great memory having it here in the cabin by the lake. No better.

A few tastes (like, 1cc tastes) of FR1BLE2012 and 2013, FRSmBLE 2013, followed by a Manhattan made with the current WTR101 and Cocchi Vermouth di Torino, an extra shake of orange bitters, and four Luxardo cherries.

trying EHT small batch for the first time. it is very drinkable, but at $40, I think I'd rather have 4R SB.
