tigerlam92
Also, if it helps for others, I chew on the ECBP for a short period of time to coat my whole mouth and all the taste buds. I started doing this in the last couple of years in general.
mbroo5880i
Went to a friend's house. He has just about every type of liquor except whiskey. I ended up drinking a couple of top shelf margaritas. Just not my thing. Came home and had a small pour of ETL Comm followed by another small pour of WFE 9 Yr.
flahute
It was a barrel proof kind of night. Started off with my blend of Stagg Jr. with a touch of BT added to smooth out the rough edges. Followed with the (not bourbon) '13 Handy. A most excellent evening.
Paddy
Great dinner with friends. Did a little tasting tour afterward and started off with Mellow Corn. Then moved to EWSB, SAOS 7, 4R OBSV (11 yr; 3 months; 54.2%) and finished off with ECBP (#4). A pretty great night!
kcgumbohead
A bit of 4R OESK also inspired by the recent poll, very nice pour!! then went back to the recent 4RYL/W12/WT101 vatting.

GaryT
OWA - I tend to forget about this in favor of the SB Blend, and really shouldn't. Such a nice, well-rounded pour. Sweet, bit of a bite, but quite drinkable neat.
belvedere86
Big difference with YL. Still not sure which one a like more ( leaning YL but still a bourbon noob )
GaryT
Damn OWA gave me the itch that only some SB Blend would cure Following the OWA (which I enjoyed a lot!), I'm even more impressed by this mingle delivers. :yum:
HD 335
Really enjoying batch 5. I like it more than batches 3 and 4.
bananaslug
YL is so drinkable because it is only 40%. I am used to drinking 100 proof and above, and my family expressed their concern for me about how fast I could drink YL last night at a family BBQ. They say I've been drinking too much lately. But YL goes down like water! Big difference with YL. Still not sure which one a like more ( leaning YL but still a bourbon noob )
Old Dusty
Some "dusty/not a dusty" WSR 7yr from BT. Classic wheated profile. Lots of carmel, vanilla, baked apple. Tiny bit of barrel on the finish along with a faint tingle/burn that does last a bit. At $15 this is the definition of a value pour especially for a wheated bourbon lover. BigRich
Enjoyed an oversized pour of a local 4R OBSK selection during a spell of afternoon quiet. In a house full of girls I have to enjoy those moments whenever they come.
MyOldKyDram
SA OS FS/FT. Loads of caramel upfront, drying pecans mid, and oddly enough this floral, rose water finish. Does not drink its proof. We done good, boyos.
heydobro
I've been seeing so much about the FS/FT all over Facebook. Guess it's time to open up the Barrel Proof Party Source bottle I've been sitting on and hope it's nearly as good
Dannabis
OGD 114 has worked itself in to a regular pour spot. Having one of those and a B. Nektar Zombie Killer cherry cyser.

smokinjoe
My BIL always treats me well, and as expected, gifted me a nice bottle of a Village Bottle Shoppe (West Lafayette, IN) selected 4RSB. I'll admit, I raised a skeptical eye to the seemingly youngish 8yr-8mos age on the label. Sipping it now, and the wood notes are all but gone, but a wonderful orange blossom overtone blooms through the palate. Unlike any 4RSB I have had previously. Definitely different, but as good as any 4RSB bottle I have had. I'm thinking this will really shine in my next Old Fashioned. But, if I don't get around to that, I'll thoroughly enjoy this bottle on its own.

And if so Hoosier Hospitality is renowned. You are a lucky guy Joe! Enjoy!
jonhalter
Poured some Old Forester 100 in a mason jar with about a dozen sliced Rainier cherries a week or so ago. Sipping on it tonight. Very sweet, but tasty. Edited July 21, 2014 by jonhalter
Auracom
Fun comparison tonight - OESQ vs. OBSV. Q is an interesting yeast. I love the nose and am hopeful the palate will develop a bit more with air. It's youthful but it works.
