A little less than halfway through on this bottle of FR125th. Such a balanced pour with a stellar finish, even at close to 100 proof. Cheers!

Geeeeezzzzzeeeee.......some mighty fine bourbons being bandied about tonight. Well done gentlemen.

I'm back for night #2 of my Stagg Jr./BT blend. Damn tasty stuff.

Really good and largely underrated for some reason.

The PHC 6th hits the sweet spot for me. It is like they blended it just for me.

Had a little FR SB neat in the swing waiting for the Kingsford to get hot. Poured some KC SB neat while I tended the chicken thighs and corn in the smoker/griller. Decided that it was pretty dumb to be drinking neat in the heat (even though the KC was treating me better than the FR), so I moved on to some EW BIB on the rocks. By the time the chicken was done, so was I.

I decided to revisit an old friend tonight. I'm having a pour of MM.

Last night 4Rsmb was just ok. Tonight ECBP 5 with 2 cubes is quite nice. Cold and diluted just enough.

Relaxing in my hotel room with pour of Larceny. I really love this whiskey, but tonight it is even better than usual. It is my favorite wheater on the market, right now.

About an ounce of JBB to finish the bottle before dinner then opened a Willett Fam Estate SB Straight Rye - never had it before - and poured under 2 ounces neat. I know it's MGP Rye (and says so on the bottle), but it tastes "other". Hhhhmmmm. Have to cogitate.

The "other" is really heavy mint, more than I'm used to in a rye. You could make a mint julep with this and leave out the mint. Don't know what you'd do about the smoky overtone, though. I guess only serve it to people standing in the charcoal smoke. Smoked mint? Never heard of such a thing unless a garnish fell in the fire.

I'm thinking that maybe I should have joined you in pouring some Larceny tonight instead of having the MM. The MM wasn't bad, but…….

I found out I passed my boards today (I took the test in June). Celebrating with a pour of bookers 25 tonight.

I felt it was time to revisit "the blend" and I'm glad I did! I've enjoyed nosing the empty as much as the drink, as the prominent juicy fruit scented film coating the glass makes my nose happy.

An interesting night of dusty or "unavailable to me" bourbon.

Had some Tom Moore BIB which is from Barton. Not sure if it's still made, but I've some of you talk about it.

The interesting one was the Distiller's Reserve 10yr old. I can't find any information on this via search or google. It's 86 proof and says it was distilled by County Line Distillers in Bardstown. Has anyone heard of this one?

I meant to post last night but I still haven't figured out my new phone (switched from iPhone to Galaxy s5 and it's like learning a new language). Anyways, I had a pour of some Lincoln Road (Hattiesburg, MS) picked OWA, and a pour of Eagle River's OBSQ.

Thanks for the info squire. I figured if anyone knew what this was it would be you. The Distiller's Reserve oddly was similar to some of the Willett labels I've tried such as Old Bardstown Estate. Since Heaven Hill is known to be one their suppliers I suppose it's not that big of a surprise. The bottle had a very old $2.00 price tag on it.
