Larceny was in Hawaii when I was there 11 months ago. Not in Waikiki, but further out in the 'burbs' of Honolulu. I got mine from Tamura's - the closest one was a few miles from the main Waikiki tourist area - about a 10 minute drive or $10 cab fare. Of course, stores in Waikiki could have it now. If she's there, get her to check out her local ABC store (they're on every corner) and Food Pantry on Kuhio Ave - they have a great selection for a small supermarket.

Fujioka's Wine on Kapiolani also had some decent options when I last passed through the islands last January but no guarantee what might be there now. There are, or were, several Tamura's locations and I expect each has a slightly different and often somewhat eclectic collection. Have never been to the one in Kailua which is perhaps a slightly fancier neighborhood (That is where Obama stays when he is in town and messing up the already messy traffic). Decent amount of Nikka whisky when I was last in Tamura's but pretty basic bourbon options.

You can also try Liquor Collection in Ward Warehouse. If your sister does any shopping she may end up there anyway. The prices are a bit higher then other options but I find the staff to be more knowledgeable then the others. I have also only seen the one liters not the 750 but that may have changed since the last time I looked.

Just managed to grab these 2 today from Dans - they have been out of stock forever so was really happy to get a hold of them .

Thoughts on the Parkers? Finger is on the trigger!

Not surprisingly it seems very 'Heaven Hill' to me based on my limited tasting of this distillery (think Elijah Craig). It is wonderfully balanced and soft on the palate.

I quite enjoyed the little I have tried, so I would recommend it.

I must try a bottle of Blanton's Gold, I like all their stuff I have tried previously.

The last few days I have been drinking Cryus Nobel - very smooth nice bourbon; Buffalo Trace 45% - can't go past this my every day bourbon along with Blanton's Green label.

I also have recently brought my first Four Roses Single Barrel bottle - It is a private selection OESF 10 years and 3 months 54% - it has a great nose and taste. I will definitely have to try he regular single barrel and compare the two

I've got a Store Select version of OBSK Single Barrel I opened on Friday evening. Typically spicy, cinnamony and an interesting smoked oak finish.

Picked up a bottle of Beam Maple Bourbon. Going to crack it next week to see if I was drunk when I tasted it in KY and liked it :skep::lol:

It must be pretty sweet.

Yeah, that's my memory of it. More an after dinner liquor than a whiskey.

Promise Of Hope is one of my favorites. It really has it all. Some people called it overpriced, but I don't think so. I really struggle to imagine how you could possibly regret buying it.

Textbook awesome.

My thoughts exactly, which is why I picked up another today. I have 5 in the bunker and was surprised to come across it still but did not hesitate.

PVW15 and Handy are cheaper than Michter's, ER10, and Dickel. Sounds like a good spot.

For all the Sydney peeps.

There is a new small bar that has just opened in the CBD.

Smoking Panda. 65 bourbons on the list. Its pretty comprehensive and there are more than a few I am interested in trying.

Sounds cool. I'm keen as mustard to check it out. Have a bottle of the Smooth Ambler Rye at home, they make (source) good stuff!

I may or may not have a 25% off VIP card in my possession.

So if anyone would want to get together one arvo I would be down for that.
