Always wanted to try that. Couldn't bring myself to drop the $80 or so that Nicks was asking though. Let us know how it tastes :)

That's where I bought it. Had one glass and it's ok. Between this and the Slow & Low I won't be making cocktails for a while.

For those after a bottle, Nicks has OGD 114 back in stock. Didn't see Larceny and only had yellow label 4Roses. A lot of expensive bottles for those who are trophy hunting. Best value bottle there is the one litre Makers 90%. Probably due for a new bottle soon. Also, looks like I'm back in Japan in December, so look out.

For those who drink Crown Royal, Dan's just updated their listings to include Crown Royal Black, Reserve and XR. Looks like only online at the moment though...

Pretty jealous. I loved it over there. If you are in Kyoto I can point you in the direction of some Turkey Tribute I could not get back to.

Travelled 20km out of my way today to visit the Dan's that supplies and ships the online orders for Brisbane. Picked up a Blanton's Gold, Rittenhouse BIB Rye (Xmas drinking bottle) and a Try Box New Make Rye - the unaged version of Rittenhouse BIB. As I got home, I was speaking to another SB member who said did I ask about Parkers..... boy did I kick myself. Totally forgot about that. Will have to make the trip back in the not to distant future.

When will you open the Gold? Curious to know if it is worth the extra cost.

Dunno. I have to be honest and say I got it more to complete my Blanton's set than to try..... I've been planning a display stand with all 5 variations on it for about 2 years now. Plus, it's a weird quirk, but I don't like to open bottles until I have a 2nd one on hand (or know I can easily get a 2nd one). Post festive season craziness, , I might head back and get another one to try.

Bit quiet the past week. Been EW Black mixed with lemonade. Might close off tonight with a glass of WT12.

Healthy pours of Blantons and Larceny last night. I'd be very happy if Larceny became a fixture here.

I have been drinking two bourbons which I haven't had for over a year. Woodford Reserve and Elijah Craig 12. In the past they really haven't appealed greatly to me but currently I am enjoying both, probably favouring the Woodford slightly.

Larceny is high up on my next to try list.

I like it alot. It's more 'burn' than the Weller 12 but quite nice with a lil water or ice. Did you find some 107 locally?

Awesome! Haven't seen any W12 avail there locally in ages. Make sure you do that 60/40 or 50/50 blend of them made famous on this site. It's good stuff!

Picked up a 2010 WLW in the wild the other day. Was also tempted with the Lot B, but cash is tight so it might have to wait till the new year.

My 2010 WLW was underwhelming. some said it was corked, im not sure.

What was the lot b's cost? Id prefer that.

Happy drinking for the holidays, one and all!

Believe it or not tonight I had Wild Turkey 101 for the first time. Actually liked it better than my bottle of Rare Breed, what's wrong with me?!

Nice find Vietish, I will have to go hunting :)

Duxnutz, I must revisited Wild Turkey next year, I have never liked their products in the past but haven't tried for a number of years, I do notice my taste does change over time.

Have a safe and happy Christmas every one, hope you all got plenty of good bourbon to enjoy.
