kcgumbohead
I cracked a RB12 that has been on deck for a long time ( i am in a serious clearing the opens before opening anything new phase). I really enjoyed it, I have had it several times out and the opportunity to focus on it at home was a pleasure. My wheelhouse is rye recipe bourbon so this was a terrific change of pace and tip o the cap in anticipation of St Paddys. The "polite" profile that I detect in Irish whiskies was present as this is a very drinkable pour. There was a creamyness to it and a flavor I recognized but couldn't put my finger on until poking around this morning when I read a mention of Whoppers candy, THATS IT!! and I like it.This is why I enjoy whisky more at home than out, I am able to discern and appreciate the subtleties far easier without the distractions of a bar/restaurant setting, costs less too!!. GaryT
Lovely pour of some WTRRSmBSB - a selection from the grand opening of their visitor center last year, and pretty darned tasty. Nice reminder that Turkey's got some very nice whiskey!

garbanzobean
Had a few pours of Blanton's to help me get through a long homework session to finish up a stupid graduation requirement. As I once mentioned to a friend, Psychology is best taken with a stiff drink in hand.
flahute
Rough day at work made the ER10 taste all that much better. Following up with Weller 12. Both are satisfying as always. Despite all the criticism being levied towards BT for the shortages, it's good to see these on the shelf at the same price I usually see them. (In the case of Weller 12, they aren't seen often of course, but when I do see them, they are at msrp. I also realize that markups at some liquor stores are common, but it's not due to BT.) Golzee
My buddy had a pint of Zachariah Harris...for what it is, it isn't terrible (that's about the best thing I can say about it).
TunnelTiger
Did a change up last and had a "few" very nice pours of CETHBP. The first taste was really hot but it soon opened up and I probably had one more pour than I should have but what the heck it was almost Friday by then. kcgumbohead
RB12 for the second night in a row and enjoyed the same creamy and whoppers candy characteristics that I found when I cracked it the night prior, this will be my go-to for Irish. I've had Michael Collins several times and always enjoyed it but never bought a bottle, now I don't see it anywhere. Then I thought it might be fun to do a SBS with another ryeless whiskey. WSR was the only candidate on hand so I pressed it into service. Interesting to a/b 2 different whiskeys without the rye spice I typically enjoy, opinions were unchanged on both after the SBS but it was fun. JGriff
Started with Weller 12 then had a pour of Black Maple Hill followed by some Henry McKenna. They taste the same. BMH has to be Heaven Hill.
johnnybogey
Having a pour of ETL followed by WT101.For some reason, the ETL tastes different the past two times I've had it. First time thought my palate was having an off night but tonight, I get it again. Something in the finish is throwing me off, sort of like an acetone flavor. When I first opened this bottle, there was sweetness everywhere. It is gone now.I threw in the WT101 because as mentioned above, I can always count on 101.
