It's good to set goals. Edit, was supposed to be a reply with quote to lcwoody.

Tonight was some 4RSB while watching the Heels reach the ACC Final. Hoping the SAOS9BP that I switched to gives the Irish some luck tonight. Maybe I should switch to Jameson....hmmm......

HHSS2. This has really improved with time, picking up new flavors with every sip.

MM at the sports bars while watching my Spartans roll the Buckeyes in the BIG Ten Tourney. HWRR once I got home.

Went to a local bar after work to send off a colleague who's moving on to a new opportunity. It's the kind of place that's known for beer in a boot, so my bourbon options were limited. I had a Willett 6 yr Rye (Indiana) which was good, but most certainly not worth the price ($18 a pour, and $70+ per bottle depending on where you find it out there.) I do like the Willetts, but their pricing has gotten out of hand both at retail and at the bars so I'm now declaring that I'm done until the bubble bursts and their prices come back down to earth. I followed up with Rowan's Creek (like I said, options were extremely limited) and found it to be just "OK". It's not one I need a bottle of. Now that I'm home for the night, I'm enjoying my patented blend of Stagg Jr. batch 3 and OC 8. Ah yes.....much better.

Last night started off with my first little taste of EWBiB. It was decently decent, which doesn't sound like high praise but is exactly what I was hoping for. This should be go to cooking bourbon that's still sippable neat.

Followed that up with a little SB Blend. And ended with an excellent ER10 single barrel pick from Market Liquors in Tallahassee.

Had a rare midday pour during lunch today. WT101 at Outback. It was either that or MM so I went with the one slightly less common.

While at the Whiskey Barrel Society meeting last night, I had CEHT Small Batch, OGD 100, HMcK 10-YR, and a Woodford Reserve private selection.

Having a nice pour of WTF.

I sense a new marketing campaign to go along with "give 'em the bird!" (Incidentally, this also reminds me of what I said upon first seeing the price of Forgiven.)

Having some woodford reserve ds. This version is 43.2% ABV. The longer it stays in the glass, the more the nose opens up.

Now having a nice pour of Bookers Small Batch Barrel Proof 6-8 Yr. Old (Batch C04-A-28) (128.6 Proof). What a huge difference over the WTF.

Having nice pours of store selection BT and ER10. If I'm still up for it I may crack a Bookers 2014-6.

Had a couple of veeeery nice pours of WLW from '12. I just love this stuff.

Gotta be one of the best Wheaters in my experience. Too bad it's so damned hard to get.
